Wish I'd bought a Toyota or Honda...

Digital Dashboard (media,map etc) are way to complex. You will spend literally hours trying to get it to save the settings you left it when you turned off the engine the previous time( ie radio, android auto, maps etc). Talk about lazy. My 2021 has the word (Cruise) among other WORDS instead of stupid symbols. "Mode", ya, what's that for...

Too many issues to like

I'm incredibly frustrated with the Hyundai Tucson, despite wanting to like it. The ambient light sensor is far too sensitive, causing the headlights to constantly turn on and off. If I drive under a tree or any brief shaded area, the headlights activate and the digital screens dim. During a typical drive, this happens 50-60 times, leading to a distracting and ridiculous cycle of bright-dim-bright. While you can manually turn off the headlights, there's no way to prevent the screens from auto-dimming. It's a simple software fix that Hyundai has overlooked, and the constant flickering is a major annoyance and safety distraction. To make matters worse, the vehicle also experiences an aggressive vibration at speeds over 75 MPH. I took it to the dealership, but they couldn't find a cause for the issue. For these reasons, I would strongly advise against purchasing a Hyundai.

It has been in the shop 2x for more than 30 days! Help!!!!!

I purchased the car in March 2025. It has been back at the dealership for more than 32 days and two separate visit, the dealer informs me that "they are still trying to diagnose the problem." One more time at the dealer and I can invoke the Florida Lemon Law and perhaps, I can obtain a car that works! This car has been paid up in full for months!

Shop Queen - I Wouldn’t Have Purchased If I’d Known

Nice platform but the complex amenities are buggy and problematic…. With just over 2,000 miles on the odometer the vehicle has logged spurious DTC’s implicating the O2 Sensor at bank 1. The onboard Vehicle Diagnostics feature has failed, indicating that it could not receive data. And now the Drivers Instrument Panel as well as the Heads Up Display fail and go blank for variable lengths of time with increasing frequency and duration. This means no speedometer, no tachometer, no engine management or warning lights, no blind spot monitoring, and loss of other ADAS functionality including smart cruise control etcetera. While I love the styling, comfort, and economy of the Hybrid Tucson Ltd. Platform, for these things to go wrong in so short a time is for me unforgivable.

I have been waiting for the heads up driving parts for several weeks and I can’t drive without a dashboard being visible. Part is on backorder and car is not usable. I will go elsewhere when my wife meets a new Car next month.

Horrible DAW System

Driver assistance warning system is horrible and there is no way to turn off the take a break warning. This warning is more of a distraction especially if you are wearing sunglasses.

Unresolved Dashboard Issue

Overall, we love the car. It drives well and it’s really nice inside. However, the dashboard turns off and on consistently which has been happening over the past three weeks. It’s been into two different shops three times and they have yet to be able to fix it.

My car is a LEMON and so is the Customer Service

My car has been in the service department for over 2 months. They have been unable to fix the vehicle, yet NO ONE will call me back to discuss. My contact with Hyundia Corporate Customer Service is even worse. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car manufacturer. Save yourself the grief.

Dealing with Hyundai Motor Finance is a NIGHTMARE

As the title says, dealing with Hyundai Motor Finance is awful. The company is rent-seeking and will try to nickel and dime you for as much money as they can. Their customer service is rude, outsourced to foreign country, and designed to waste your time and money. If you are thinking of purchasing or leasing a Hyundai, be forewarned that you will have a bad experience dealing with their customer service and finance teams. I have been a Hyundai customer for 6+ years and will be locked in my lease for another few years. That said, this will be the last time I own a Hyundai because of the horrible experience I have had with their customer service teams.

Hyundai has gone to far!

Lots of features but many are not user friendly. Directions for many things are just not clear on what they do and how to use them. I have always liked using cruise control, however "Smart cruise control" won't work if I am wearing sunglasses. This is wrong, Hyundai has no business dictating how we use our vehicles. Hyundai needs to come up with a fix for this. I have owned two Kia and three Hyundai, but really regret purchasing this Limited model. I am rating most of the features below 1 because I have only driven it less than 1,000 miles. Still trying to figure out the features, and so frustrated with Hyundai.

A Warranty is Worthless if You Can’t Get an Appointment

My car is undriveable because the gauge display goes black while I’m driving. The dealership “fixed” it once after I was given the runaround, but the problem came back and now they say I can’t get an appointment to fix it for weeks or months.

Love the Tucson. not this car

Car has been in the shop nearly half the time I have owned it. The Tucson has a lot of excellent features and fun to drive but mine has had problems with the dashboard failing and heads up display failing. Has been in the shop 3 times. This time is 3 weeks and counting. I cannot recommend this car based on the one I purchased but still like the Tucson model and believe mine is simply defective.
