Problems that won’t go away or get solved!!

From the time I’ve had my new Tucson, I have 2 issues. 1, The camera on the steering system keeps telling me I have to focus when I am. No one seems t help me correct it!! 2, My microphone in the navigation system is not functioning properly! I have a case # with Blue Link CASE 41721748. I keep being told that they are working on it. I’ve called them quite a few times to no avail!! I’ve spent precious time on this and I’m extremely frustrated!! This is my 3rd Hyundai and I never had this issue with my other vehicles. I’m starting to think I have a lemon!! Hopefully you will read this and get some resolution for these issues!!

Great vehicle with one exception.

When you engage the cruise control, the hands free icon appears. shortly thereafter a warning appears stating keep your eyes on the road. after a period it flashes with a red warning . I assume it will shut the car down unless you turn off that function. Had it in the dealership twice, No solution. I wear tinted glasses and car thinks I am not looking at the road. Very annoying that I can't use this feature while driving. Love the car but will not buy my fourth Hyundai SUV because of this fault. I am required to wear glasses.

Bad transmission and faulty automatic brake system

I bought the car on the 09/10/2025 and the car transmission system broke down including the automatic brake system on the 10/01/2025. Car was towed back to the dealership service center Heritage Hyundai Towson 801 York road till date. I told them that I don’t want the car no more and they should refund the cost of purchase and other expenses back to the financing company EXETER and Hyundai Motors and dealership refused to. I have already engaged a legal attorney and she has formally written to Hyundai to refund my money. I have already told Hyundai Motors that this issues has led to metal health issues and serious depression. If they don’t refund me soonest, I am writing to my congressman and my Senator and then all media stations you advertise your product to help me talk to you people to refund my money back to the financing company. Nobody is going to buy a brand new car and start fixing the transmission problem. They are claiming that it was the oil pump of the transmission that failed and they fixed after 28 days. Me I can’t drive that car because I don’t trust it anymore and that transmission is going to fail again. I once had a Hyundai Sonata same way the transmission failed when there was no longer warranty on it and I was not having the money to a brand new transmission so I had to throw it out with huge loss. I don’t want to experience it again. Please you guys make a refund urgently so we can all be in the same page. Hyundai Motors can do it. Business is profit and loss. Me l cannot bear the loss of your factory product failure.

Electronic instrument cluster

Purchased in 9/25 and now has 1295 miles and sits in our garage. It will be going into the dealership for the fourth time to fix the instrument cluster. It goes off and on when driven. We purchased the car for my wife. She is now afraid to drive it so she drives my Palisade effectively making us a one car family.

Most comfortable car to drive

But very disappointed with the MPG, it was advertised as 35MPG for regular and highway but we are lucky if we get 28 mpg. The whole reason we got this one because we are retired and will be driving to our kids that are 5 1/2 and 7 hrs away so we need good mileage and comfort. I had a Elantra before for 18 years that did deliver what it promised and average between 29/31 mpg so this is very disappointing.

I am real close to having Hyundai buy this damn car back due to the DAW. It is required in Europe. I don’t live in Europe. IT IS NOT REQUIRED in the United States. It is a safety hazard with the warning coming on constantly. I reported it to NHSA.

had to take it in three times for loose items on car, not impressed

Not impressed, had to leave new car with only 500 mile at Tennessee dealership and then pay for loaner car so we could continue our first road trip to Ohio. The problem was a turbo hose had come loose. Then we had to take the car back to our dealer for two more visits, both times finding two more loose items. Brand new Hybrid Tucson, not happy.

There is an electrical problem that keeps happening!!

Many different things have happened and I’ve been in to service and had it documented. The cruise control works sometimes and not other times. A lot of times you can’t lock it by hitting the door handle. Many other things are happening.

The vehicle vibrates at higher speeds. Three trips to dealer not fixed

Technology and comfort is good. But you can’t drive it at 75 mph or higher due to high frequency vibration in steering wheel and felt in seats. On major highways in Florida traffic often moves much faster than 75. I regret purchasing it.

Collision system failure

Collision system keeps cutting of cruise control. They need car for 3 days and will not give loaner. I can not afford to take off 3 days from work. Only 1200 miles on car. I work 45 minutes from dealership so they can not drive me there and back for 3 days

Awful “safety” features that make the vehicle more dangerous

This car has caused severe pain and anxiety due to its “safety” driver “assist” features. The fact the car has the ability to take control away from me SLAMMING breaks unnecessarily, is absolute trash. I hate it with a burning passion. These control features have been the cause for close encounters, not preventing them. These control features have caused mild whiplash. And these control features are beyond inconvenient. I love the idea of the car giving me ALERTS about what is around me. But I HATE that it takes control away from me. And these fact that when the control is turned off, the alerts get turned off too is beyond stupid in the programming. This car has unnecessarily slammed breaks on me with the forward “collision alert” on multiple occasions. Once in a left turn lane because I guess the car in front of me wasn’t pulling away fast enough, the car’s computer thought I was too stupid to know how to control my own vehicle. Once when I was the only vehicle on the road in a three lane side street. There was no one to my sides or in front of me and the collision alert beeped like crazy for absolutely no reason before slamming breaks again for no reason. Only a few minutes after that I was on the freeway traveling at 65mph. I was in the far right lane, there was no one to my left, and the car in front of me was way far away. I was nowhere near them when the collision alert beeped like crazy and my car slammed my breaks. Thank God there was no one behind me. I got an instant headache and had fear for potential whiplash caused by this obnoxious and unnecessary vehicle control feature. Thankfully I had no lasting neck pain but the insane anxiety this feature causes me when driving infuriates me. I love driving and the fact I’m getting anxiety because a stupid programmed feature is ridiculous. Another super frustrating time, I was backing out of a parking spot, and the car sensed another car coming so it alerted me, then I watched that car pull into the parking spot next to me. But the alert kept going despite there being no car anymore, so I started backing up again and it freaking slammed breaks for NO REASON. I had to put the car back into drive and then into reverse again to get that alert to shut up and take back control of my car. I like the idea of having alerts/warnings. But DO NOT take control away from me. If I am going to get into an accident, let it be my own fault and not because your computer program has decided I’m too stupid to drive myself and takes that control away from me. Let me turn the control off without it removing the warning alerts. I have loved this car until those cursed control features started rearing their ugly heads. I have serious beef with my car now and I am about ready to trade it in and go with a different dealer, if Hyundai does not fix its programming. Cosmetically, I’m not a fan of all the hangover areas in the exterior. Such as the back windshield or all the nooks and crannies in the front. Makes it a pain to clean. On the interior, I don’t like the single tiny door cup holder on the back doors, just make it a normal door pocket like the front doors have…. I also don’t like how much smaller the cupholders are on the center back fold down…..

Fix the damned driver assistance warning system!

We've driven a Tucson since 2010. We traded our 2022 in March for the 2025 Tucson Hybrid Limited. It's nice, but we may need to get rid of it because of ONE thing: the new driver assistance warning system is severely flawed. It went off 63 times on a 75-mile trip last Saturday while my wife was driving and I sat in the passenger seat. Never once did my wife take her eyes off the road, yet the DAW flashed and beeped constantly. We have it turned off, BUT it operates anyway because we also use the adaptive cruise control. Imagine that . . . Anyway, we have contacted Hyundai about this issue multiple times, and we've reported it as a safety hazard to the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration. Because that's exactly what this system is--a safety hazard. Because it is improperly calibrated and cannot be turned off, it is a constant distraction to the driver and a terrible annoyance to passengers. This system clearly wasn't tested in realistic conditions--such as drivers being different heights. My wife is 5-4, and I'm 6 feet. When I drove the car back last Saturday over the same roads at the same speeds with the adaptive cruise control on, I was only ONE warning instead of 63. So, the evidence would indicate that, among other issues, the DAW system fails to account for the different height of drivers. I have reported all this to three dealers, and all have said the same thing: They know about this issue, but there's nothing they can do about it. One service director said he owns a 2025 Santa Fe, and he has experienced the same DAW issues I have described. Online forums are filled with driver complaints from all over the country about the same issues, and no one can figure out what to do about it, although suggestions have included not wearing sunglasses and covering up the DAW camera on the steering column. I've tried both, and they fail to solve anything. There needs to be a software fix for this issue ASAP. The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Ltd. never should have been sold until fully tested in real-life situations. It was released before it was ready, and that was a huge mistake because--after 15 years of driving them--I will never buy another Hyundai. One simple and common sense fix for the DAW issue is to allow drivers to turn it OFF completely . . . even while using the adaptive cruise control. No one needs the DAW when driving for a few hours. But when I've been driving all day and feel myself getting tired, I could turn it on when it might actually be helpful. But even then it would need to account for the physical difference between drivers, that drivers usually wear polarized sunglasses, and that staring directly at the road for long periods is NOT a safe way to drive. It's impossible to overstate my disappointment and frustration with what is supposed to be a safety system. It is not. It is a danger, and it MUST be fixed ASAP.

Got an issue within 2000 miles range

So this was the issue when I went to start my car after my office it started and it was not going to gear and my steering was locked when I tried to restart car it was not happening and I got an alert on display saying that battery is draining to stop that to start car but when i try to start car it was not happening . Later after some time battery was turned off automatically and then when I started the car it worked normally This is strange and annoying and I was worried as it happened for my brand new car within 2000miles range

good ride. Rear window wiper good. IF only technology worked

I would not recommend this car to anyone because the 'computer' stuff does not work. Service has connected me twice and it lasts 2 minutes and then it jumps in and out. Verizon tells me i do not need a new phone it is the car. I went in to buy a new phone and they told me no, not for the reason I was giving them about it not working in the car. I have also NEVER gotten even close to the 39 miles per gallon the sticker said. My old car got 29 around town, this gets 25-27
