I love the driving this car and fuel options.

I like the ride and handling of the vehicle. Love the driver assist features as this help drive the car with ease and fun. Great electric/gasoline use option. Great looking car. This vehicle accedes my expectation.

Good quality and reliability at a reasonable price

The Tucson Plug In Hybrid was one of three Plug In/PHEV vehicles I considered purchasing (others included the Ford Escape and Volvo XC60 PHEV). The Tucson was priced in the middle. All three have similar EV only miles. The Tucson PHEV is in the middle for MPGe miles (Ford Escape slightly better mileage performance and the Volvo XC60 lower and at a much higher priced vehicle). After driving the Tucson for the past three months I can say confidently I made the correct and best decision for my needs. An affordable PHEV, great mileage (my average per mile cost is extremely low with 85% of my driving under 30 miles/day. The Tucson's exterior style, the excellent quality and features of the interior, and finally the excellent warranty. I do recommend purchasing the 10 year bumper to bumper extended warranty. The extra cost is good assurance I will have a quality vehicle for the extent of my ownership. If you are not ready for an all EV vehicle, the Tucson is an excellent choice for a Plug In/PHEV.

Easy Purchase Using Costco Vehicle Purchase Program

So far, vehicle has met my expectations, with one exception. My new vehicle immediately got a flat tire late at night while traveling out of state. Hyundai Road Assistance and the local dealership service department didn't know how the tire repair kit worked when I requested assistance. Thus, I plan to get an aftermarket spare tire and jack kit as recommended by a tire dealership who was able to assist me with my flat tire.

Great vehicle

It's a great, comfortable vehicle for small family of 4. We've had fuel mileage up to 123 mpg. We try to use electric as much as we can. Sports mode is snappy, eco mode is efficient. Bose stereo is great.

Great Car

Love the plug in. Great to drive around the local area and not use gas. Have only taken a few trips were the battery is not enough but only used a few gallons of gas. Really easy to drive. Plan to take a long trip soon and will see what happens then. We highly recombed the plug in car for anybody that wants a car that doesn't use much gas for local use. Also have not seen any increase in electric usage by plugging it in.

Great vehicle

I love my new Tucson, the plug in hybrid is excellent on mileage, I hardly have to fuel up. It’s a joy to drive, and all of the tech features for safety are wonderful. A few things I would prefer different, but non that would have me buy a different vehicle.

Great value.

This a no-frills practical vehicle at a reasonable price. Over the first year, it has been a reliable vehicle. An area for improvement is the drivetrain integration. At low speeds when accelerating uphill, the hybrid system is not smooth or predictable.

Excellent Vehicle with alot of cargo space and all the bells and whistles

This is the 2nd Tucson I've had, the first one was gas and I wanted a plugin Hybrid. I've had BMW's, Landrover, VW and Volvo's in the past, Hyundai's are very well equipped like a car twice the price and is very dependable. I have never had an issue with either of my Tucson's and I am a woman that drives alot for business alone and I am never nervous or uncomfortable about my car's reliability and also has fantastic safety features.

Good value for cost

When compared to other similar vehicles, the dollar value of the Limited model is very good. Battery range and interior amenities are comparable to more expensive vehicles. Overall quality of exterior and interior features is very high.

The Tucson plug in hybrid is an excellent vehicle with gas prices being high.

I like this vehicle very much.It is fun to drive, has plenty of power and the gas mileage is excellent with the option of electric and running it as a hybrid. The 261 horsepower is plenty and great for highway trips.

Room for improvement but it's at a good start

It's full of technology and safety features, has a good ground clearance and is easy to get in and out of. Great interior and cargo volume space, it's fun to drive, smooth handling, comfortable and easy to drive thanks to the highway driving assist. It has a sufficient amount of ev range for daily use. Great fuel economy for the size of the vehicle. Easy to park and overall a great vehicle to own and drive. I have had Mercedes, audi, and cadillacs and I was very surprised at how this vehicle has more features standard than all of those vehicles. Also you get significantly more for your money than those cars and this car costs significantly less to purchase and less to own and operate. Also the warranty is so long it will out live the ownership of the vehicle so it gives you extra peace of mind.

Met all of my expectations

Bought the Tucson PHEV after extensive research. An all electric car would not be practical since we wanted a new car to replace our 13 year old Prius, which was our road trip car. I decided that the next most environmentally friendly car would be a PHEV. In town we mostly make short trips, and most days we use zero gas, since the 33 mile all electric range meets our daily needs. On a road trip, it functions as a typical HEV. This is exactly what we wanted in a new car. Our other car is a two seat sports car.

What an amazing vehicle! It's my 2nd Tucson, and definitely get a 3rd.

I travel and drive alone most of the time, and this is the 2nd Tucson I've had. I've had VW, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Landrover in the past, but none as dependable as my Tucson's. I get to limited model that has more bells and whistles than any other car that are standard features for the limited trim. Amazing vehicle that is fun to drive and safe.

Great gas mileage if short commutes

I love my Hyundai PHEV I am averaging almost 200 mpg at 10,000 miles due to my short commute daily. The car is fun to drive and is well appointed for the price.

Well Made Hyundai Tucson Limited PHEV

After doing much research on PHEV vehicles, the Tucson caught my attention. After two years of ownership, I am happy as much as I am pleased with performance and quality. Local driving on EV only is great on gasoline savings. At the same time I average 35 mpg on long distance trips. A little higher on MSRP than a few competitors, but worth the extra money with the excellent warranty.

Take me to Tucson, because the 2023 Tucson Plug-In Hybrid by Hyundai is just like an unexpectedly pleasant vacation to Arizona. At first, you ask yourself, "Why would anyone ever want to go to Arizona on vacation?" But slowly, you begin to see all the hidden and remarkable diversity that you never realized Arizona has to offer. The 2023 Hyundai Tucson is just like that: an unexpected, yet very pleasant, car experience that wins you over with its incredible versatility. Whether it's playing in the cold and snowy mountains of Flagstaff or peddling through the hot and sandy roads outside of Phoenix, the Tucson will handle sharply while keeping you comfortable. It makes owning a Tucson feel as good as sipping margaritas on some of Arizona's finest "ocean-front" property. If you buy that, I'll throw the Plug-In Charger in free.

Our rating for 2023 Hyundai Tuscan hybrid

Overall, excellent value for the money. Quiet, comfortable ride, with quite good mileage. All systems function well. Our only problem has been that the car is not storing Bluelink commands. (We can command it, but the car does not consistently 'remember' settings.)
