Hyundai Tucson 2012, FWD

I bought the vehicle about a year ago. The handling is superb, like a German auto, very precise and I feel very confident driving it. Brakes and gas mileage are excellent as well. The vehicle is comfortable on a long trip and the inside noise is low. Some issues with the car are that it could have a little more power (2.4L - 170 HP approx.) and I experience some surging with the ECO feature turned on, but accept that is just part of a "drive by wire" system instead of a throttle cable linkage. Lastly, the radio sounds good, but the radio station reception quality is poor. I would definitely work to improve this, given the other things done well on the vehicle. Lastly, the transmission could be a little more decisive when choosing a gear. It does shift very smoothly.

Surprise! Surprise!

This car was more than expected. It hugs the road, turns on a dime and was able to get 91000 miles out of the tires that came with this car. The 100,000 powertrain warranty did come in hand very recently. Thank goodness. I plan on getting another Hyundai, not to soon. This car still has a lot of driving to do

Compact and perfect for a small family

I love my Tucson. I have the Limited edition and want to keep this car forever! Heated seats, power steering. Reliable and easy to maintain. Best buy ever. The shocks could be better. I love the design and its interior leather is easy to clean.

2012 Tucson

Overall I am quite happy with my Hyundai Tucson. The car is comfortable, easy to handle and I enjoy driving. I love the heated seats & XM radio. My only issue is the pickup. My daughter had the same exact car and the pickup was much better. Otherwise, I am quite happy with my Tucson.

Purchased car used with 17000 +or/- miles now 82000 miles No problems other than my own created problems and between 25 and 27 mpg on the road Better than I had expected I would buy a newer one if I needed a one

2012 Tucson

I love the 2012 Tuscon that I have owned since buying it new back in 2012. I have had the radio/gps unit replaced twice due to gps address book errors, but other than that the car has been great. Outside the paint is fantastic and it looks great. Inside with fold-down back seat it can carry a lot. It is under powered but does cruise along.

I have enjoyed my Tucson and it has been above average in every way. My only complaint is my GPS system died and I think a replacement cost of $4000.00 is outrageous. Needless to say I could not afford to spend that amount of money for a replacement but I sure do miss my GPS, clock, CD player and telephone.

Almost oerfect

I bought this 2012 Tucson new. It has not given me any problem. I like it very much The only concern I have is it has not good visibility. This car has given me no problem. It is comfortable for me, it is the type of car I need with space to carry big items, garden supplies , etc in the back of car. It runs well

Review 2012 GL

I really like the Tuscon. I find the seats are comfortable and the car is easy to drive. Trunck is roomy and have used the car frequently to go to the dump. Doesn’t have very quick acceleration when trying to merge on the highway and has wide moldings on either side if front windshield which does obstruct some visibility when turning. Due to this it can be hard to see when turning especially at night. Headlights could be brighter. And back window could be larger to improve visibility when in reverse.

Great turn radius,mostly comfortable interior.manuvers like a sedan but higher up,better visibility..awd rocks. 90/10 & 25% when engaged.only thing that sùcks is the big SUV gas mileage that Hyundai lied about

Small, agile little powerhouse!

I've enjoyed this little SUV's towing capacity and short wheelbase that allows U turns easily, handles snow very well with the AWD version and adequate hauling space interior. I wouldn't mind having the Santa Fe room inside, but this one has more towing capacity which I use often.

See pros and cons. Before this purchase I drove a Toyota Carola for 21 years which got great gas mileage. Hopefully the Hyundai will be as reliable. In comparison to the 2012 Hyundai, I'm a bit disappointed.

GREAT RELIABLE VEHICLE

We have owned our 2012 Hyundai Tucson since it was new so going on 7 years now. It has run like a champ and other than having to replace the tires and the battery we have not had one problem with our Tucson. We have had he serviced regularly as scheduled at Wesley Chapel Hyundai which has helped ensure everything on the Hyundai stayed in tip top shape. Our Tucson has 68,000 trouble free miles and we look forward to another 40,000 trouble free miles and may buy another Tucson in the near future. Our Tucson is a Limited model but we did not get the electronic package with navigation, moon roof and backup camera on it which is the only thing we would have done different as we would love having navigation, backup camera and a moon roof. Maybe next time.

New Hyundai owner

I traded in my Sorento for this Tucson and I really enjoy this car. It is smaller than what I am used to, it has so many nice features (pros), and it is fun to drive. However, if there is any con that I can say about this car it is that it does lack power when merging onto a freeway unless you put the gas pedal all the way down. This has been frustrating for me since every car I have owned has had that power I want In order to get out of any sticky situation I might encounter. It may be because of the Eco Drive system, which is good for gas mileage, but It is the reason I cannot give this car 5 stars.

Love my 12 Tucson, great turn radius , ride, maneuverability excellent. The only thing that sucks b@ll,is the way Hyundai lied about the MPG and barely giving less than a penny per mile payback..B.S.!

I mostly like this car. It drives nice and does what I need it to do. I've had no problems at all with it since buying it in April '18. It doesn't get very good gas mileage, though -- in town, 19-20 mpg, on the highway, about 23-24.

I dont like how when it rains on drivers side the rain drips into window onto window control buttons. Yeah i could get a rain guard but i should not have to do that. besides that i love my hyundai tuscan. A little bumpy to i can feel all the bumps when i drive. even with new tires so i guess thats suspension.

Hyundai Tuscon

Prior to owning the Tuscon I had a Santa Fe. If I had it to do over I would have stayed with the Santa Fe. The Tuscon doesn't get the gas mileage it originally advertised, it doesn't have the hidden storage in the trunk and it didn't come with the trunk cover even though I purchased it brand new. When accelerating it has a dead spot. I wouldn't buy another one.

2012 Hyundai Tucson

I’ve enjoyed this vehicle for the 3 years I’ve had. I haven’t had many issues with it; I’ve had more issues finding quality customer service at the various Hyundai dealerships I’ve visited. Although this vehicle rides well, it does absorb all the shock from potholes in the road. My tire pressure sensor is extremely sensitive which can be a nuisance at times because it’s hard to judge if I need air in my tire or if I just hit a bump in the road. The vehicle does get a bit stuffy when the heat is on or during the summertime. I usually ride with air on low and my window down in the summer to “air” the car out. Overall I have no serious complaints. I plan on driving this car until the wheels fall off.
