Very Pleased

Purchased this vehicle one year ago. The vehicle had a little over 20,000 miles on it and was in very good condition. During this year, we experienced no significant mechanical problems. A minor exception (a link stabilizer in the right front end) was undoubtedly due to our driving over an incredibly bad road on an ill fated fishing expedition. We have maintained regular inspections, oil changes, tires, etc. The car is very comfortable and handles well, has ample room in the back seat for passengers and has good room for luggage, groceries, etc. in the back. The fold down back seats have made it easy to transport longer or bulkier items. One design point: my wife is short at only 4' 11" and the size and placement of the driver's side view mirror initially created a visibility issue for her; however, she has been able to adapt.

2012 hyundai tucson review

This vehicle is a great value. It also has many more options than it competitors in this price range, which gives it an edge. The price is also good. I have an all wheel drive and have gone into the mountains, and navigated some pretty rough roads, not a problem for this car. The only problem I have with it, is the road noise, that is annoying in the interior of the car....

Best turn radius.quick and agile just don't get the '12. Hyundai lied about mpg and only give back less than a fraction of a penny per gallon. What a joke..could use heated back only option on the seats not just seat or back and seat .

while most things are really great, I find it difficult to see smaller cars in my blind spots. Can lead to an accident as I change lanes so I would have to think about whether or not I would want a similar model next time.

Good Car for the money and warranty

happy with the vehicle in general...drives and handles great, and great interior design. Not happy that the clear coat on the back top of my car is peeling off after only 4 years! Gas mileage could be better.

Short tiger

I love the size of this little tiger, with great towing capacity. Even though it's short, with a very tight turning radius, I can still put eight foot things in it and tie longer stuff on the roof racks. Fuel mileage could be better.

An Overall Good Crossover

Overall, this is a fantastic small SUV. It's overall greatness is hindered by a few quirks in the interior and it's average performance and fuel economy. That is not to say it has poor performance or fuel economy or unexusible quirks, those are simply the low points of an otherwise great package. The big thing this SUV advertises and delivers on is value. Phenomenal bang for your buck. Overall, I give it 4 stars only because objectively it is not perfect and therefore cannot receive 5 stars, but it is damn close!

Tuscon 2012

Love this car. Only 3 issues that could be better addressed. 1) My passenger seat rattles. It has to do with the mechanisms inside - nothing to do but take it apart. I rather not have the expense so I rolled up a towel to separate the bottom seat from the back. 2) The road noise is more elevated than I'd prefer. 3) I love the design of the windows, however, there is a bit of limited site out the back end. I've been able to adjust seat & mirror to accommodate for that mostly. Otherwise, she's almost at 100,000 miles and runs like a dream. I still love her body style, the interior, and the flexibility with the back seats for loading camping gear, or home/garden shopping, etc.

Good But Could Use More Power

I had bought my Tuscon used and when I test drove it I had thought the performance was adequate. But since then I find that I need to floor it to get it to accelerate smoothly. I burn mid grade so it could be I need to use premium. Other than that I love it. It performs great in the snow, better than my old Subaru Legacy and about as well as my old Chevy Blazer. The navigation, blue tooth and sound system are great, clear screen and simple to use. I keep looking at the new models when I bring mine in for service. They now come with turbo charged engines and that could make this review 5 stars.

When purchased it was a good vehicle. The biggest complaint is it is more noisy on other than perfect roads. I will make sure that I test drive on the roughest roads I can find to see how noisy the next one is. It seems as if a few dollars spent during assembly would have made a better less noisy vehicle. My 2006 1 ton diesel is quieter on highways.
