Not happy!!

This vehicle is stylish, comfortable and fuel efficient. However, it has been in the shop 7 times for the same two issues in the past 7 months! We have had 5 times with airbag issues, warning light comes on, all sensors have been replaced yet it still continues! We have had it in the shop 2 times for heater not working,, water pump issues! I have called Hyundai, reported it, was given a case manager who called only once, was very ignorant, told us she would call back in 6 days to let us know what the next step would be. That was 4 weeks ago, haven’t heard a word from her since then!! We don’t trust this vehicle, afraid to go out of town in it, want the car replaced or bought back , guess a lemon law attorney will need to get involved!

Car Stalls

Car Stalls as you accelerate. Car drives very nice but many times as you accelerate the car chokes and vibrates. has been at the dealer few times and can find the problem. I wish I had never bought the car.

Hyundai Tucson is awful, dual clutch is awful had never worked right from day one! No pick up and stalls in traffic frequently . Hyundai continues to offer computer updates that never work too many recalls on this car

Reliability

Double clutch transmission has many problems that have not yet been resolved. Dealer has been responsive, Hyundai has not yet offered a solution. My wife is afraid to drive the car because the transmission just quits when starting or turning in traffic. I consider it a safety hazard.

Horrible

2016 Tuscon is a piece of junk. The car is literally falling apart in less than two years. Broken door latches on two of the four doors. Squeeking every time a bump is hit. Molding on door has come loose.

DCT is the worst design for a SUV.

My 2016 Tucson is the worst. Hyundai Customer Care is just is bad. I highly recommend that people read the poor reviews on DCT's and DO NOT anything with DCT. The Stereo is terrible as well. The set up says it is suppose to show song title and artist but FM Doesn't. Come on it is 2018, what car doesn't show song title and artist; even my 2003 Cars did???

Transmission

There appears there is something wrong with the transmission. The car shudders 0-5 mph and 20-25mph. I have had the car in twice and the problem continues. I have been told that the car is trying to 'adjust' to my style of driving. I don't accept that. The car has had almost three years to make the adjustment. Plus, this problem just started in the last several months. Additionally, there is a problem with the accelerator . Sometimes when I step on the gas pedal there is a delayed response. A second or two passes before the vehicle accelerates. This is relatively new and is quite frightening when trying to pull out into traffic.

This car is a tin can

My Tucson sounds and feels like I’m driving a tin can. It’s a very small crossover as far as interior space and constantly sounds like it’s going to die. Wish I would’ve stuck with Honda. Air condition issues as well.

Transmission and A/C are BAD

The air conditioning has now needed repair twice. It would quit working at random times. We’ll see how long the latest repair lasts. The transmission hasn’t worked right from the beginning. At first it was just jerking upon starting up. Then it got serious when randomly it would not move after stopping at red lights. After repeatedly telling the dealer this was happening and them telling me there was nothing wrong with it, there was suddenly a recall and a “repair”. (It’s quite apparent many people were having the same problem.) The transmission still has jerky starts and often has big problems finding the right gear. The transmission has 3 “modes” of regular, sport and economy. One of the service personnel told me to keep it in regular mode and I should have less problems but it’s not working.

dual clutch

I have had many issues with my car due to acceleration problems when i press on the gas. There was a recall when i first got the car, i brought it in and supposedly the issue was fixed but it never was. now since the recall was "checked" if i need that issue which was never services, i need to pay for the inspection. They keep saying that the Hyundai dual-clutch is the reason for my issue and that its "suppose " to do that halt on acceleration, but this car has just had too many issues for being a 2 year old car. I have almost gotten into 2 accidents because the car halted when it needed to accelerate in order to change lanes. I did fear for my life the first time it happened because if the car had accelerated when i pressed the gas, I would have changed lanes smoothly. Instead, I hit the gas, moved into the lane and the car did not go. A large semi was coming behind me, and it had to sway over to the next lane so it wouldn't ram into me. I was so shook after that incident. I am not happy with this car at all, wish I had been wiser 2 years ago when we decided to make this purchase.

2016 tuscon

I would never buy another, lots of problems, stuck with it since I can't afford to buy another brand new car while still paying for this one. Can't understand why this car would have so many problems when it doesn't even have 23,000 miles, no power, can barely pull away from a stop and they keep telling me my car isn't on recall for this. Don't really like the brakes either. Dealership has been good about fixing most of the other problems but what a pain in the butt. How depressing to buy a brand spanking new car and wish you still had your 8 year old car

Defective Transmission, no recall to fix it

The vehicle is problematic and Hyundai can't seem to fix it (2016 Hyundai Tuscon Limited). The transmission seems defective with no recall in sight to address the issue. The car will buck or tremble when you shift from reverse to drive first thing in the morning (usually happens when warm out). And it will tremble when first starting up and rolling forward in traffic. I've brought my vehicle in now 6 times for the same/similar issue and the issue persists. It seems unsafe to drive and the resale value will most likely be low if it is a known issue to consumers.

2016 Tucson

Am really tired of receiving these surveys. I traded in the 2016 Tucson on a 2017 Santa Fe because the Tucson was no longer trustworthy after stopping in the middle of the road during lunch hour traffic with engine running but wouldn't go anywhere. Took approximately 2.5 weeks to fix the 'software' glitch (there is no such thing---it's a BUG, bad coding, below quality testing, etc.). I am well pleased with my Santa Fe.I have NOT owned the Tucson since August 2016,Please cease with the Tucson surveys.

This car has a terrible Transmission in it, tried to get Hyundai to do a buy back on it and they wouldn't even consider it they are not an easy company to work with I would have thought there customer service would have been a lot better when they have a dissatisfied customer, I've had people ask me how I like the car and I do not recommend it or the Hyundai brand at all because of the way I was treated , that's why I would never buy another Hyundai ever again.

Terrible Transmission

This vehicle feels cheap and tinny, the transmission is terrible, it's very unsafe especially trying to get out in traffic with it oh, it hasn't ate something awful, I've had it back in the shop a half a dozen times and they can't seem to do anything about it, try to get Hyundai to buy it back for that reason and they wouldn't even consider it, for that reason I would never buy another Hyundai of any kind ever again oh, this was my first and last Hyundai, hope other people out there having better luck than I am with mine.

am very unhappy with my 2016 Hyundai Tucson, I bought it in 2016 and have had so many problems with it, I will most likely look for a different make next time I purchase another vehicle. This has NOTHING AT ALL to do with Pantili Hyundai - only to do with my experience with my vehicle. We purchased this vehicle because my husband has a Sonata that has been wonderful, we planned on staying Hyundai customers until all the trouble we have had with this Tucson. thank you for your time.

Since the beginning...

There has been an issue with our car since we have owned it (2015), but the dealerships had never found the issue, until alas, ther was a recall for the trnasmission. But, it doesnt fix the issue! The vehicle still doesnt engage, when you have to push the gas to cross an intersection, merge with traffic, or anything needing a quick acceleration move. It is danger to us and those around us quite frankly. It has gotten worse with tine. We can't trade it in with the mileage being over 100k and the fact that we still owe over $15K. So we are stuck.

Poor quality engine and transmission. This vehicle is not dependable or safe, due to engine, performance. The should be no vehicle under 60,00 miles to be repaired like I have had owning this car only 2 weeks driving it.
