Tucson

The Tucson is a nice vehicle. My wife's second Hyundai, both were leased but this one we paid off and kept. Its been a really good car and we've had no major problems. It gets an occasional recall - like all vehicles - but otherwise mostly general maintenance. We'd not hesitate to buy another.

2017 Tuscon Eco

The dual clutch was replaced at 24k miles. Transmission issues noticed in 3rd year of ownership around 15k miles. Sluggish performance, variable idling and drive capabilities & tremendous safety risks made us want to have vehicle thoroughly checked out. Luckily we have a warranty for this technical service bulletin issue that should have had a recall for the inferior designed 7 speed transmission with a dual clutch. Hopefully our lemon of a vehicle makes it to 100k miles.

I love my Tucson! I loved my Elantra prior to the Tucson and Im sure I will love the 2022 Tucson I getting ready to purchase!! Great vehicles, never any issues and if something is array, the service techs are awedome!

Recall after Recall

This car is my first car and I like the car a lot, however, I feel like my vehicle get recalled just about every month. I’m glad that they are at least catching these mistakes but I really have lost faith in the build quality. Other than the recalls and some minor fixes I would make, the car functions well and is comfortable. Good for a first time car.

Defendable, elegant, lots of features, great acceleration, no problems, good price, good warranty

The Tucson is elegant looking with lots of features and room. Good gas mileage. No problems for 5 years now which beats any car I have ever had. The Service Department is great. I would highly recommend a Tucson

Engine failure at 112,000 miles.

My family was extremely happy with our 2017 Tucson Sport, up until 2 months ago. We had ran up a lot of highway miles driving back and forth to Florida from New Jersey. Like my previous vehicles (both Toyota, one ran 270K the other 360K with no major issues), I had expected over 200K miles out of this Hyundai. (especially when they come with a 100K mile warranty)! At only 112K miles the engine lost compression in 2 out of 4 cylinders and was barely able to make it home. The dealership stated that it would need to replace the lower half of the engine (short block), and the cost would be about $9,500 and up! However, the service department was really great and went to bat for me helping to eventually have Hyundai Corporate cover a majority of the costs. My portion ended up being $1,600. So not bad for a remanufactured engine swap. But I would not recommend purchasing a Hyundai product with the 1.4 Liter Turbo engine, until they get these issues worked out.

Bittersweet

I love the vehicle, and wish to keep it, but it’s spent more time in the shop than it has been in my possession (going on 4 months ). If it weren’t for the issues the vehicle would be everything I wanted!

Engine consumption issie

Will not buy this Model again (Tucson) or any other Hyundai cars. The car has an engine conpsumption issue Hyundai knows there's a problem yet they keep procrastinating the issue also believe that I may be driving an unsafe due to the engine issue may cause the car to stall or engine catch fire.

Solid car would recommend

Bought this new and love everything about it as we tend to keep vehicles for a long time. A slight hesitation is the only quirky thing when gathering speed to get on the Highway, but lots of power and once it kicks in the ride is smooth and comfortable.

Tucson 2017 sport 1.6T

This vehicle for me can be a 5 star, but the dual-clutch transmission don't let me. Sometimes it feels normal and other time the hesitation is excessive, and when reversing its worst. My only issue is that new transmission. Other than that its a 5 star.

I have really enjoyed driving this car. The ride is so smooth and comfortable. I am a snowbird from a Washington State and have driven this car back and forth between Washington and Arizona several times. In the past I would have my wife drive at least half the way. With this car she maybe drives a total of 100 miles on our back and forth trips. Great comfort driving on trips like this.

Good vehicle.

We bought this vehicle with almost 90k on the dash. We had a 2016 1.6t Tucson a few years ago, Drove it from Amarrillo TX back to AR. within a month we had a problem with the oil consumption. Had that fixed and good as new. Runs great and good mpg. Not as fun to drive as the 2020 Hyundai Kona Limited, but still fun to drive.

Good vehicle for the price

As expected the warranty saved me thousands on repairs. Worth the price tag. Nice options and good on gas. Probably would get another one as I get closer to paying this one off. Hyundai has been a value for me.

Very happy with my Tucson

I really enjoy driving my Tuscon. It is easy on gas and easy to handle. There are several features that help me be aware of my safety as well as those around me. It is comfortable and fun to drive. A great car!

Oil changes

We are very worried about the motor in this vehicle my Daughter has a 2016 with only 70000 mile and she is in the Air Force over in Germany she has taken great care of it to but the motor blew up in it and she is fight USA Hyundai since you guys don’t work with Germany Hyundai can’t you guys fix her car I m worry about might ther is a big law suit

I do like my Tucson. I needed something to go back abs forth from work. I drive a lot. I put 20,000 miles in 9 months. Been a great car and I got it used. Been great. Just needs littl more power I would say but other than that it’s roomy. Well equipped for the year and for a base model. I like it. Great car

Love, love, love this car. Not only is it nice looking with it's black Ray rims but it's peppy and fun to drive. I've thought about getting a new car, but I've just too happy with this one!!!! I'm a very happy customer.

Just OK

This is my first SUV. I don't like it too much. Main issue is the lack of visibility, especially around the side mirrors which block the view, mainly when making turns. The acceleration is pretty poor. Getting on an express route can be kind of scary. I seem to have more close calls than I had in a regular car in the past. The ventilation is the worst I ever had. Too many controls. Very hard to adjust sometimes, which can be pretty scary in a sudden rain or snow storm. But I'll probably keep it for a while anyway.
