Hyundai Tucson
I visited dealerships, test drove vehicles and did my research online before visiting & purchasing my Hyundai Tucson. Hyundai had the best crash test rating, safety features and the best pricing. I took a Tucson for a test drive & it drove really nice, had nice pick up but when it came down to price it was out of my budget. So, I went with the value package, the sales person told me it was the same car less the fanciness of the body style (rims & grill) but the engine was a little different, I did not get to test drive it but when I bought the vehicle & started to drive it I noticed it did not have the pick-up the other model had that I test drove, there's a hesitation and engine roar when accelerating and the fuel economy is not great at all, needless to say I was very disappointed. Especially when the reason I was buying new was to update a car with better fuel economy & safety features. Prior to buying the Tucson, I had a Nissan Rouge that I leased, it was great on gas mileage, I could drive 2 weeks and I didn't even reach a 1/2 tank of gas & at the time I was probably driving 200 miles a week city driving if not more. Currently I work from home but 3 days a week I commute (total of 30 miles a week) for those 3 days & in those 3 days of driving I use almost a 1/2 of tank of gas! To me, that is very dissapointing. Before the Rogue I had an 05 V6 Buick LaCrosse that got 25 - 27 mpg city driving and I drove 40 miles a day & used a half of a tank driving 5 days a week. I thought buying a new car would save me on gas but it didn't. I was brought up that you always fill up at a half tank so that is what I do so needless to say I'm not happy about having to fill my tank each week when I only drive 3 days.
