Garbage car

If you want an underwhelming, over priced, rattling, hopping and garbage of an SUV, look no farther. The paint is thin and will swirl immediately, you will be refilling your gas tank like it’s a v8 that’s supercharged with a tenth of the power. If you want to feel unsafe with an inability to accelerate, this is YOUR car.

2022 Tucson is a HORRIBLE car!!

We are on our 2nd 2022 in a year and a half. First one blew up the transmission with 1,500 miles on it. Completely stopped on my wife while making a left hand turn on a busy highway and was almost struck. It took a month of arguing and almost getting a lawyer involved for us to get a new car. Well, 16k miles on this one and nothing but issues. Sounding like it will stall while idling and you push the gas and it feels like it doesn't want to go. Dealer told me he can't get it in until August......it's June 6th! Am I supposed to tell my employer that I can't make it in until September because I leased a Hyundai. Not to mention having to make car payments while the car sits in the driveway. Shame on Hyundai and shame on Burns Hyundai in Marlton! Terrible customer service and obviously a lack of quality control when making these. 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD

Death Trap

I purchased this vehicle brand new and have had several issues with it. The most recent one was the car driving backwards on its own in my driveway while it was parked and I was attempting to go in my trunk. I had to manually stop the car with my hand in order to prevent it from running into my neighbors car and house. I was injured and also busted my lip. I have all this on camera and was still told to drive the car and use the parking brake. I fear being in this car with my kids.

run away

way overpriced, features don't work, gas mileage is terrible, horrible customer from hyundai corporate when trying to address my concerns with a brand new vehicle. service department at dealership where vehicle was acquired was bad. voiced all of my concerns at the time of making appointment. brought the vehicle in on my scheduled date and was told I had to leave it for a full week just to diagnose! no loaner either.

Buyer beware

Save your money and explore another make in this category. I have experienced problems with this car since the purchase. The car handles worse than a used card and is highly unpredictable in its performance.

Nice vehicle but poor AC

Vehicle is nice but AC never got completely cold. Taken to dealership several times and repaired under warranty… it took over a month to get the repair and the first hot day in April … the AC blew hot air for 15 minutes. Drove the vehicle to Bennett Chevy the next day to trade in for my current vehicle a Chevy Equinox. I did not feel like taking it back to the original dealership to have them “fix” it again. Soured me on this car brand.

Serious safety issues/alerts - Not able to schedule appointment for 3 months!

We've been owning this car since August/2022, and it currently has ~5,900 miles. Ever since we bought the car, we've been having serious issues with the navigation and sound systems (we weren't able to get any appointments so we found a fix where we would disconnect and reconnect the battery). This would happen every month or so. Then we have an issue with the tailgate light. Every single time it rains, there's water inside the tailgate light. Today 07/25/2023, while I was driving the car I got 4 SAFETY alerts (Check blind-spot safety system, Check forward safety system, check rear cross-traffic safety system and ABS). I called several Hyundai dealerships around my area and the earliest appointment I could get was in October. The main reason why we bought a NEW Hyundai was strictly for safety and reliability because we just had a baby. How can I use this car? Who's gonna be liable for any possible accidents? This car was a lemon from the start and I should have taken action earlier, and not put my family and other people in traffic at risk by driving this.

Brand new vehicle needs a new engine

I had my car 5 months before check engine light came on! It has now been sitting at the dealership waiting for a new engine! I have almost had my loaner car longer than the car I purchased and I’m sad about it but nothing I can do! It’s beeen a waiting game! It’s not the dealerships fault where it is at!

Should be 5 star, but gave a 1 star, need my amplifier fixed!

Has everything that a futuristic car needs. Super comfortable and sporty looking. Would be a 5 star car, if my amplifier was fixed. I have owned the car for 12 mths, & no sound in my car for 11 mths & empty promises from the dealerships!

2022 Tucson

My new 2022 Tucson is excellent. The service department is terrible ! They were booking out 5 months for my complimentary first oil change. The service writer stated that, if I went over 8k miles, that would void out my complimentary oil change and I would be charged for the oil change. I told her this was not acceptable and I was told to either not drive my car for 5 months so I would not go over the 8k miles or go somewhere else for the oil change. I called another dealer out of state, explained my situation and they got me in with in two days. Terrible customer service after you purchase a new car. Service department need training and better scheduling.

Not a good choice

Lost power on the road several times.

If there is a design flaw with the fuel injectors, then you should have a recall instead of risking customers lives with the car losing power completely on the road. I was on the interstate in Wisconsin during a blizzard and I completely lost power . I’m lucky I didn’t cause a car pile up.

Turns off while driving

If you like a car that starts up in the morning and accelerates when you hit the gas, this car is NOT for you! This car turned off while driving after I had only had it one month. A few months later it failed to turn on. It’s trim is peeling and the foam is protruding from the windshield. Again. This was “fixed” yet the problem persists. I asked if the dealership could reinspect my care and got attitude. It seems there is no interest in solving my car’s issues constructively.

We were expecting a lot more of this SUV

There are a lot of talking about KIA/HYUNDAI take over on quality, but in our 3 year ownership of a 2022 tucson this wasn't the best. we bought it brand new, and traded in with 37k miles. Poor handling, engine vibrations, multiple times check engine codes, and the worst; the air-recirculation never worked. we tried all different settings with the climate control; auto, lowest temp, highest temp, on/off recycling button, and nothing helped. we were always getting all the smells outside incluidng traffic smoke. we took it to our dealership to check. they didn't find anything wrong. but the problem never ended, untill we traded in.

It seems like a disposable vehicle and one that will be problems after the third year. It doesn't seem like a solid car and I will probably trade it in before that time.

I owned a 2014 Tucson and it performed much better than the present 2022 version. You guys went cheap and it shows. You tried to hide the short comings with bells and whistles but it just made the purchase that much more suspect.
