Fun Looking but drives like a grocery getter

Let me be clear: I really like this car. I just really wanted to like it more. It’s eye-catching (though the turbo front end is immensely more aggressive looking), it’s more spacious that it initially appears, and people are always intrigued with its 3-door design. The Tech and Style packages are a nice step up, and even the Sound system isn’t bad. Nice. But. You’d think something named Veloster would have a bit more....velocity. The little 1.6l, 4-hamster grocery getter beneath the hood barely puts out 150hp, and in those instances where quick acceleration could mean the difference between life and death, you may want to be wearing clean undies and a nice suit.

Love my hyundai

Sporty and plenty of room for my 5ft 10inch self and 165lb mastiff..love the 3 doors! The back seats fold down easily and prop back up just as easy. People always are shocked to see my dog and i both get out of the car..it has been very dependable at 60k miles have had to have zero repairs...just maintenance!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

My little Veloster is probably the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. I've been super impressed with the overall fit and finish of the Hyundai brand in general. It's been a blast getting back into driving a manual transmission again. I am planning on keeping this car to at least 150,000 miles....only 100,000 to go. I would recommend Hyundai to anyone looking for a new or used car.

Fun Car

I find the Hyundai Veloster to be a stylish and fun car to drive. The passenger side rear door makes the backseat accessable while preserving the sporty look on the driver's side. Adequate space in the hatch for storage.

Cute car. Poor quality materials.

I love the look and size of my Veloster that I purchased new in 2013. But, there is always something needed maintenance- clips breaking, trim paint chippping, loose connections And hate the dual clutch. Those paddles are stupid& useless

Beautiful

This car wow. Took my breath away from.the moment I saw it in the showroom. The lines are smooth and slim. Yet the ample styling and drops in the contour make this Vemoster stand out. The interior fits like a race car just aching to hit the road. The head lights and rear lights have a distinct look all by them selves.

The best priced sport car out there

Love the design, and the mileage. It’s so much fun to drive it. Have a 2013 and still have people coming to me asking me what type of car is it and if is fun to drive. Like the stick shift and being able to control my car with it.

Love my "Li'l Voster"

Wasn't sure about going small after an SUV. I was used to the extra space, comfort and feeling of safety. While a fully-loaded vehicle wasn't a first choice, I am loving the Great response, the ease of finding parking anywhere and it just looks laid back, cool!

Sporty, economical, & perfect

I had 2 Tiburons before owning my first Veloster. Honestly, I think the Veloster is an even better vehicle. The cockpit fits me perfectly with everything within reach, but nothing cluttering up the driving area. I have a Turbo Automatic and the gas mileage and pick up are great for a sporty car. Currently I am at 37,000 miles, and my highway gas mileage keeps improving. The last long drive I took, averaging 72mph I ended the trip with 41 miles per gallon. I live in a big city with lots of stop lights, and even then I still average 27 mpg with most fill-ups. The pick up speed is great when needing to pass or react quickly. The 3rd door makes it easy to get in and out of the back seat when necessary. The sound system also is something to be heard to believe. You can't beat the price for a sporty vehicle that's reliable, has all the features I need, and is fun to drive... I love driving my Veloster every chance I get & my next car will definitely be another Veloster. A++ automobile.

Love the style and the features. The hands free phone feature and access to other features on the steering wheel is convenient. But the ride Is not comfortable. You feel every bump of the road. It’s feels like the car is falling apart when you hit a bump or hole in the road.

Best car ever

I’ve had my Hyundai Veloster for 4 years now and I have to say, it is my favorite car I’ve ever owned. It’s my first time owning a Hyundai and I couldn’t have picked a better model. Very comfortable, sporty and great design. Since day one, I’ve received compliments on it wherever I go. I am looking forward to the much anticipated 2019 model whenever it hits the market!

Cute, classy and sporty

Great looking car inside and out. Gets amazing gas mileage almost 40 mpg highway and I do a lot of long distance driving. I never get bored of the look and drives nice and smooth on most good highway roads . I do wish it had a few other options like automatic headlights and auto off directionals and better seating with more support. Also love the look of the low profile wheels but they get chewed up quick on these New England roads, wish they had meatier tires on the larger rim. Also they should all come with a spare tire because the tires usually get sidewall damage because of the low profile. I've had 2 tires replaced in less than a year and a 3rd one is getting ready for replacement due to a damaged sidewall. Potholes do a number on this cars wheels tires and rims. The gas mileage and look of the car make it worth it though .. fun little car! Oh and I love the panoramic moon roof!

Sporty but weak

I've had a veloster turbo sense 2013 but was very disappointed with the engine after owning it for a few years. A 1.6l comes under the hood with an optional turbo addition. Anything under a 2.0 is garbage to put in a car. The veloster is awesome looking with great handling but is extreamly underpowered for it to be a turbo addition. There are alot ot unhealthy shortcuts under the hood I've learned about and found thats why it's a 10 year 100k warranty. To get this car moving you really have to floor it and drive it hard to survive the highway or traffic. This puts alot ot stress on this underpowered engine and it fails. Mine failed at 66k. The veloster is a fuel efficient car but needs more power to make it better. The 3 door design is kinda annoying at first but is different. It's a very sporty hatchback but as stated before.... a 1.6 is useless and should never be used. I look forward to see the N veloster and what it can do

2013 Turbo

I got my 13' Turbo after having driven my 2012 Veloster for 25k miles. The Turbo was exactly what this car needs. Its sporty, has a unique profile, and is very well equipped at every trim level. Even 5 years later, the cars styling look looks modern and clean. Looking forward to the 2019 model year and the upcoming "N" model.

Love My Velodter

I’ve owned my 2013 Veloster Turbo for 2 years so far and I love her more now than when I bought her. The car is unique visually, comfortable, has tons of features. For such a small car, there is plenty of storage space. I’ve needed to take her in for service twice, both times were easy and painless thanks to the awesome warranty.

Blown motor

Motor blew at 72000..warranty didnt cover the cost....dealership did give a fair deal on replacement but I dont believe I would purchase this vehicle again...the turbo blew and went threw the engine blowing out the block.
