Tranny

The car is awesome hence the rating. One down fall, if the AC is on max AC and turned all the way up the car wants to stall only problem I have had with it. The other not so much an issue is the back end slides out just a little bit when taking turns (fastly). Other than this, the car's suspension is great and oh yeah, don't forget abut the turning radius. But any who, the red seats a great touch, just wish the turbo was a turbo not a twin scroll for fuel economy but can't complain there the gas milage is awesome.

Good Little Car

Perfect car on a budget. Styling is very unique and eye catching. Has its quirks like all vehicles but I would buy another one. Only thing I can recommend to Hyundai is to sound proof it a little better.

I can't say enough about my new 2016 Hyundai Veloster. It exceeded any and all expectations i had before i went to the dealership. You'll need to take it for a test drive to understand why this (my) review is so short....

Eco friendly,

I love this car because it gets great mileage, its pretty spacious for a sports style car. I feel safe when I drive it. However, only downside I have seen to it is the time it takes to accelerate. But other than that it's a great car.

Great overall car, but lacks power. With a little more power this would be the perfect car. Recommend test driving in traffic or gunning the car to see if it's acceptable.

Pros and cons

I wish it had more room my family needs more room to get in but I do like the 3 door idea. I wish for a sports car, it would have more power I feel like a chump out there. My radio is messing up and I haven't even had the car for 4 months. Also the windows in the back u can't see out of because of how they r made. Other then that I love the car it runs beautifully. It has that odd look I like. 3 doors is kinda weird and out there and I love the idea.

Fun to drive

This is my second Veloster turbo. It's fun to drive, has great styling and new updated bucket seats are great touch. The 7 inch display is great and so is the hands free feature. Pretty good on gas and has plenty of oomph on the gas pedal. I love it.

Great Vehicle

The rally edition is a pretty fun car, just missing a few things that you can only get on the regular turbo model. Is not that bad on fuel either but not ideal for a family but could work for a family of three. Perfect for one to two people, back seat doesn't have a lot of head room.

Reliable. Fun. Styling.

I work full time and part time, Monday-Saturday, so I spend a good percentage of the week driving. Once I'm in my Veloster its a smooth ride "from point A to point B." I like having options and the vehicle's automatic or manual mode gives just that, and its been really fun learning the concept of shifting. Its easy and makes me feel "one with" my car and the road. I love using the Bluetooth and auxiliary/USB port features to pair with my favorite music and Apps. The sporty design beautifully with my personality, which is sweet but fierce.

2016 Veloster - Basic with all tech packages

I exchange my basic 2012 Veloster for the new 2016 basic Veloster but this time including all the tech packages available. It came with the tech I was expecting except that no Android Auto ready. Then I notice that all audio experience and support is for Apple products. The USB will play music if first convert music with iTunes. Expecting the basic 2016 come with led head or rear lights. Engine 1.6 which make me feel like driving a Toyota. I read that I should be picked the Turbo instead but, that will add another couple thousand of dollars on my loan. Overall? I LOVE THE VELOSTER.

I'm in love

Sporting great looks and very nice engine response when driven enthusiastically (switch Eco Drive off, gear selector on Sport mode, manual operation) my Veloster is a joy to handle in mountain roads. Bored with small hatchbacks with the personality of an ameba? Get a Veloster and have a good day. Gear paddles by the steering wheel are an excellent addition to the 2016 turbo version. It could use the Genesis coupe R8 seats but stock seats are adequate. Stiff suspension and low profile tires make you wish for smooth roads but when push comes to shove you're grateful you have them. Great car overall. I would buy it again.

Veloster

Just took a very long trip in this car. I was very pleased with mileage. Not happy with the bluelink system . This system had trouble identifying my voice , had to yell the commands. Ended up having to call blue link to down load information. I was told I will have to call to program with technical support. not very happy with that answer. I believe this should be done at time of purchase to make sure this will not happen when a customer needs this feature. But other wise a very nice vehicle for the price.

Very nice, but could be better with minor fixes

Love the car, but a few issues have popped up. A couple have carried over from my last veloster. The EPS needing to be recalibrated regularly as flat or tough spots appear, as well as needing to be realigned regularly. The car also feels loose on uneven pavement and nervous on bumpy roads as well as follows lines or cracks on the highway or interstate. There is also an issue with the windshield fogging when its not very humid. Or when the windshield is slightly foggy and the defrost is turned on the windshield fogs up horrendously until the dryer kicks in. My last veloster did the same thing, as well as smelled like wet socks the next time the h/ac unit is used after it had rained. Other than those issues, I love the car. Could be made better if not perfect with more power and torque, less nervous rear end, better lighting and better seats and I think it would be near perfect.

Veloster has everything but ...

Overall is a great vehicle. Room inside is comfrotable; the outside look very cool. Two problems I could experience, though. Is not fast. Saves a lot of money on gas but you struggle if you want to speed off. Does it but really slowly. The other disappointment is that the view through the back window, is obstructed, soooo limited. You have to be VERY CAREFUL when changing lines. Why?, because you barely can see the vehicles behind and when you try to speed to change lines, the car do not responds.
