Wouldn't buy a Hyundai again

Just letting anybody know I just buy at Abella star from Westland Hyundai. It's been a nightmare since I got the car I've had it Blow to tires out which they say aren't covered and that cost me $188 for each new tire nobody would help me nobody would warranty it I'm having trouble with the car it doesn't run right but they say it well if it doesn't happen in front of us what can we do this is just been a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend Hyundai to anybody

Short life on motor

2016 Hyundai veloster with 23746 mils need a new short block and the dealer can't explain y or how this happen my wife only drive 10mils a day she don't race always have the kids when she picks up from school. And she did not feel save driveing the car anymore

Horrible

Beautiful and sporty styling. Great gas mileage, ie approximately 400 miles per tank. Very rough ride on city streets. Interior room is good for front seat passengers but quite cramped for backseat passengers. Good manufacturers warranty.

Too many issues early on with this car . Brakes and hesitating...dealership service questionable. Needs more performance and safety functions . Still to be determined how this car will function and operate in a year or so

2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Rally edition

Great looking car and a lot of fun to drive. I’ve had some minor issues with the exception of my rear main seal going out at 10k. I’m not particularly fond of Hyundai dealers seeing how they don’t seem to like enthusiasts who enjoy personalizing their vehicles. I hope this changes with the upcoming N models.

Terrible that you’re selling a transmission that doesn’t work. I was actually told at the dealership that I blew the clutch. I have been driving manual transmissions for 20 years and have never blown a clutch, but now that I have an automatic, I was able To blow it. Interesting...

I hate being so brutal but I do not like my veloster. It's the most uncomfortable car I have ever had.... I dont like the paddles behind the steering wheel... And the voice command is in a bad spot..always hitting it! Ugh....

Not worth the price of admission

Nice out of the gate with style and options(24,000 sticker so it should have something ), but quickly became flawed. Broken door handle, broken hatch switch(electrical). Underpowered to say the least. If you drive in snow, (1,400) for tires and rims are a necessity. Highest cost for insurance i have paid in my life and abysmal value after only 2 years of ownership. For the money Toyota or Honda are better choices.

Great car hampered by the Safety related issues I have suffereed with the 7sp DCT.

This is my second VT. The first was with a 2013 manual and it did everything to my satisfaction. Great car! I then purchased my current 2016 VT with DCT and have suffered numerous scares by numerous intermittent performance failures of thee DCT. Examples include: While in Drive and foot off of gas, engine starts racing in neutraL ; While in Drive and at a slow speed, transmission fails to downshift when going up a steep hill ; While in drive and starting off from a start, transmission locks in 1st gear ; While in drive and starting off from a very slow speed, car takes off then stalls ; When in Reverse and giving it gas from a rooling start, it either jumps back or stalls out. Except for the DCT, it is an excellent car!

Very disappointed

Problems began almost immediately: air conditioner, replaced 3 turbos, fuel injectors, fuel pump and transmission...WOW. Fortunately all repairs under warranty but a major waste of time and so much frustration

Sub standard vehicle

Won't recommend this car to anyone. Even though I had a 2013 and wasn't completely happy Fred Beans made me an offer I couldn't but should have refused. The dual clutch transmission in the 2016 us horrible. Way to much lag time and hesitation when starting from stop and in first and second gears. Car is only 3 yrs old and has been in for a few repairs already. I do have 80 k miles but are mostly highway. If you do buy this make sure you get extended warranty.

2016 Veloster review

Too much electronic problems. I have the vehicle for less than two years and had several electronic problems. The transmission is sluggish. Air bag alert keeps coming on and off intermittently. Had dealers repaired this problem twice already.

Stalling won’t buy another

Fix the car it stalling to much to let this go If you know what’s causing this recall them your service department thinks the motor is to big for the engine and the 2019 were changed that the motor & engine are now now stronger to handle the power of the car
