Veloster econobox with some kick...

It's okay and gets the job done for commuting, but it's not very comfortable and the manual trans could have stood some more work refining. Overall it's not bad for what it is.

Veloster problem

The car is great but definitely needs something done about our 7 speed Dct it is very frustrating . I just had the TCM update and it a little . But I feel after 20,000 miles of no update it has caused premature damage on my clutches.

I wish I would have done more research

The bumpiest new car I've ever had and the Transmissions a little bit tricky I have the turbo Veloster and sometimes when you go to take off if you have to in a little bit of a hurry seems like the transmission wants to stay in one gear or it doesn't know how to catch up and it's brand new

My Veloster

My Veloster and I had a great relationship from the beginning. I was looking to scale down a while for the ease of a car with good gas mileage and still a little sporty. I got exactly that. The most unusual aspect is that I would tell people that I zip all over the city...Funny, that's what I named my car...Zippy... it lives up to it's name...

Loved it at first...

I was in love with this car when I bought it. But after a year, I started to notice things. The interior surfaces scratch & mar easily. The power & pick up seems to be non-existent with the A/C on. The air vents have very little range, and always seem to be blowing right in your face. The long driver's side door is very heavy, and makes it difficult to get in & out, especially on any kind of slope. It would be better on all accounts, if the driver's side had the same secret passenger door as the other side. The cargo space is good (with the back seats folded down), however the hatch back slope prevents you from carrying anything bigger than 2 feet high & 3 feet long. Overall, it's a cute car with great gas mileage. Looking forward to seeing what Hyundai does with it in 2018-2019 models.

PURCHASE OF NEW VELOSTER

Sales department representative and the two individuals who finalized my paper work and accepted my 10,000.00 check were very unprofessional and outright rude, if they cannot be professional at work and deal with all customers, no matter what the race/culture is, they definitely should not be working/representing the Hyundai dealership. My car wasn't prepared in a timely manner and had scratches in various spots. When I told this to the sales people nothing got fixed/corrected and I had to deal with the rudeness of the two individuals that finalized my purchasing documentation.

Love the sleekness of this vehicle, it is cute and performs well. I am In The car for quite a few hours daily and the comfort of it is great and extremely important. The sound system is great as well as functionality.

Just okay

Car has some issues. Seven speed transmission jumped around some. Car has rattles which distract from driving experience. And has a harsh ride. On the plus side the tech options are first rate and the styling of car is unique.

Beauty of a car but advertise as a turbo and lacks of real power. The car is slow on take offs and to gain speed takes for ever. Seats are nice looking but not comfortable. Its weak for being a sporty car.
