Interior Burning Smell & Smoke

DO NOT BUY. A burning smell and smoke started pouring out from the steering column at 1500 miles. This happened the first time i had driven the vehicle more than the 7 miles to and from work. Hyundai agrees there is a defect, but will not replace my vehicle despite having multiple videos showing the issue. I’m now stuck with a car I don’t feel safe driving. Nothing like making your first two car payments while your car is in the shop! I escalated my claim for replacement through Hyundai Customer Care who denied it and told me that I would need to continue to drive it and once it happens again to drive it to the dealership while it is happening.

check engine light twice within the first month

We purchase the 2022 Venue march 2022. NEW. since then the check engine light has come on twice. the first time the dealer reset it, telling us that some times "computers just don't talk to each other." It came on again 2 days later. Now they have had the vehicle for over a week. We have yet to make a single payment. We have to call for updates. not very responsive and I am no longer comfortable with this vehicle.

Not comfortable, sun visor don't help,, seat not height adjustable, no floor mats came with car Rough ride it's like driving an old truck.

Rough ride, sun visor not usable, won't show android on screen, not quiet when driving, seat not height adjustable, no automatic start, no floor mats. No leg room for tall people. Pretty car but it is all show, no quality.

gas mileage sucks, the overall backseat space was not what I expected. Really looking for a hybrid car because I know the gas mileage will be at my standards with this venue its not what I expected at all.

Disappointed

I wanted a cheap but a fun and a reliable car. Venue provides the cheap but it is disappointing with bad styling and comfort. It is ugly to be straight honest. It gives one a false sense of driving an SUV when it is in fact a Hatchback with minimum leg space and uncomfortable seats and weird drive experience.

Lemon

They sold me a lemon and ripped me off car does not start been in the shop for longer then I’ve had in me possession. Do not buy a venue . It does not accelerate and I almost died in this car . Case worker is not very thorough with my case and does not realize the seriousness of my life in this car . I will never look at Hyundai the same after this especially if they do not help me . I have an attorney on my side

Don't go to Hyundai or really any other dealership in a position where they see your vulnerable and take advantage of you due to circumstances out of your control in life and if you're disabled in any way seems like they'll take advantage of you

In retrospect I really feel they took advantage of a customer with a disability and given the situation where I needed a vehicle right away they saw that as a ways of making money instead of helping an individual of the armed forces

The dealership in Wilmington is terrible to deal with! I’ve been trying to get this fixed for several months. Their response time is awful! I have contacted them several times. They initially told me the radio would be there in 3-5 days. SIX WEEKS later I had to reach out to them to ask what was wrong. No follow up call to let me know the party was delayed beyond the 5 days. Interestingly enough they called me right back & said the radio was there & ready to be installed. The radio has been replaced. I let them know it was still happening & they have not called me back to offer a solution. It has now been ANOTHER 2 weeks! I use my vehicle for work & need my navigation system as well as hands free phone. Would NOT recommend this vehicle or dealership to ANYONE!

Not A Comfortable Ride

This should be a secondary vehicle and not an everyday one because the overall feel is very generic. It feels like this car was rushed through the design process and not road tested by normal drivers.

Features do not work and dealership refuses to fix it until the pending issue is resolved which could take up to a few years

I would not recommend this car because of the fact that there is pending issues with the car and that information is not disclosed when purchasing the car. Additionally while there is a pending issue, the dealership cannot fix your car until that pending issue is resolved. As such, you will be buying a brand new car with issues that cannot be fixed for months if not years until the issue is no longer pending. Do not risk it.

Stay Away From This Cheap Car

Save your money and buy another car. One of the cheapest and poorly made cars around. Cheap seat material, no wireless or sunroof on top of the line model. No hand grip over driver side window, no soundproofing inside of car, cheap padding on armrests, no traction even with traction control, all around CHEAP car.

Constant issues

We bought the venue, so our son could have a safe and vehicle to drive. We have had the venue in the shop over 36 days total and a total of four times. We are done trying to get it fixed and will never buy Hyundai again. It has been a complete nightmare.

Horrible experience

Brand new car air conditioner when out in 2 months. Took forever to get the part and shortly after getting repaired the seat belt was recall. I could not wait for another part to finally come in with no estimate date. I traded the car in.

Never getting a Hyundai

My second ever Hyundai and I'm never getting one again. Terrible drive. So tight inside the car. The drive is terrible. I had the worst back pain of m like first 9 months of owning venue. Now my body is just numb to the pain.

Worst Car I Ever Bought

This was the worst car I have ever bought and I overpaid for the vehicle. The vehicle is horrible on gas, has soft brakes, no cargo space and zero acceleration in time of need. It drives like a truck and the seats are uncomfortable.

Predatory Leasing

Whatever you do, DO NOT LEASE A HYUNDAI. They write their leases in a way to screw over their customer as hard as they can. I made my monthly payments for almost 2 years on my lease and got hit and my car was totalled. My insurance paid the full value of the car before the accident but and now Hyundai is coming after me for more money. They got the full value of the car at the time of accident, but that's not good enough for them, they want the sticker price of the brand new car, even though they've already gotten almost $6,500 from me in monthly payments. They're making more money off this accident than they would have had I not gotten hit by a drunk or had I just purchased the car. Greedy pigs. When going over the lease they explain all the sections but never talk about what happens in the event of a total loss, they hide that away in the 20 pages of tiny print. And if you are foolish enough to lease from them be prepared to deal with a company that exclusively uses snail mail and get your toll bills delivered almost 2 weeks after the bills are due. This was settled with the insurance back in October and now I'm December they're coming after me for more money

Cheap Vehicle

This vehicle is as cheap as it gets. You buy the top of the line and it doesn't come with a sunroof. They even cheaped out on giving you a light for the glove box and a handle grip for driver's side, plus there is no wireless for either Apple or Android.
