Great vehicle for around town short trips.

Would not recommend the 4 cylinder engine nor the short wheel base for road trips. Excellent vehicle for our needs. We purchased new in 2008 and made sure it was maintained on a regular basis. THAT is what keeps a vehicle in good condition and keeps expensive repair bills at bay.

Good vehicle

I’m on jeeps for the last 24 years in fact I’ve only had two in that time! I’ve been keeping them until they can’t go anymore. I would definitely get another one. It’s getting about that time. Although the prices of gone up like every other car company I think jeep is still somewhat reasonable for an excellent vehicle.

Love my Jeep

I Love my jeep, it is fun to drive and has been a great vehicle that serves all my needs. It is good in snow and ice and get me where i need to go. Has been the best vehicle i have ever owned. Would love to update it to a new model.

Jeep Patriot 2008, good car for an off brand Jeep model, but not great.

Bought slightly used back in 2009 Kept going strong for a while, but after hitting 100k, not sure i can keep up with the maintenance items that keep poping up Going to need to consider some features about the car to see if it's worth keeping around

Has lasted loner than expected

We purchased the minimum option vehicle because that is exactly what we wanted. It has exceeded our expectations. However we maintained a strict maintenance schedule. We made certain the vehicle was not neglected. It has 90,000 plus miles and is 11 years old. We are disappointed when we see that most consumer reports show the vehicle with low ratings. We disagree with the findings.

Leak in roof near back gate.

We like our Jeep and have owned Jeeps since 1974. The Patriot has been reliable and is now 10 years old. After about 4 years it developed a leak in the roof near the back gate when it rains. We took it to the dealer and they couldn’t find the cause or duplicate the leak. The leak continues whenever it rains.

Reliable

We purchased vehicle new in the spring of 2008. It has fit nicely into our suburban life style. We have faithfully maintained this vehicle at all the recommended intervals by the same mechanics. We have utilized this vehicle in many ways but never abused it. Therefore we plan to keep it as the body shows no wear. It runs like the day we bought it.

bought the vehicle new

Very little maintenance but we return to the same auto service company for all routine maintenance so they know us and the vehicle. Super reliable 4 cylinder engine with consistent mpg.

Exactly what we required in a vehicle

Reliable vehicle with good consistent gas mileage. We did not want many options. This fit our budget and life style perfectly.
