Very reliable car

Have had this KIA Optima since 2003 and have experienced minimum downtime. Replacement of the compressor has been the only major repair. Reliability is the lynchpin of usefulness which the KIA has achieved.

Best car ever

My Optima has never had any significant problems. It's only had the typical tuneups and replacement parts. Actually, it did have one irritating problem that my mechanic figured out. The Serpentine broke about 3 times before he realize zed that, out of the factory, it was too thick. He put a thinner one on and it's never had a problem since. If your serpentine belt breaks, have them check the size. Their first inclination will be to look for something that's rubbing against it causing it to break. Overall, an excellent car and I'd like to get a new Optima when mine ever goes. A sad day that will be.

My KIA OPTIMA

I have never had such a reliable automobile in my life. This car has 166,000 miles on it and has never broken down on the road. It has always warned me it was ailing and got me to my home for me to take care of it. I sometimes think.....get a new car....and then I see new cars on the side of the highway and I say, "nope, staying with my best friend" that I have faith in.

Great car..

Bought it used, has been reliable, so far, few issues. Mostly regular maintenance items, and one sensor, so far. Would highly recommend this model for reliable transportation for work and play. Being low to the ground in a state with snow and highway salt, regular bathing highly recommended.
