Love My Kia

My Blue Beast has gone on many a road trip out of state, through mountains, snow deserts, rain storms, hauled various pets, kids galore, groceries, furniture, and provided reliable transportation around town each and every day. The hatchback is awesome from loading bikes to watching movies at the drive in! It's now 13 years old and is still going strong! We perform routine maintenance on it and that's it...it repays us with safe transport!

Crap!

I love how small & easy it is to handle BUT regret ever buying this! Is the 1st & LAST kia I will ever own! I bought it used w/ the issues it has, due to always owning chevys I thought these were very simple, inexpensive repairs but boy was I WRONG! A part that would normally cost me $7.99 for any other vehicle, costs me $42! What is usually A simple, quick homr repair on any other vehicle, requires a trip to the manufacturers shop! They make the cheap, easy, home repair impossible by requiring a "special tool" that ONLY the manufacturers carry to fix those issues, so you are forced to pay quadruple the price for a part & hundreds of dollars in labor! They don't loan out these tools nor sell them ANYWHERE! You can do the repair at home or go elsewhere but you'll have to replace that same part again shortly after bcuz they make it to where the parts WILL BREAK if that tool isn't used! Better pray to your lord you don't get a small power steering leak! Normal cars, its just a line usually but for Kia You'll have to replace the WHOLE RACK & PINION! Which is min. $150- $200 USED & min. $250 in labor, those are 50/50 gamble, not guaranteed to work nor come w/ a waranty, so you'll have to pay all that AGAIN! My review will probably never get posted bcuz it tells the truth & everyone can see how much of a SCAM KIA IS! But if it does, to all those thinking about purchasing one, DO NOT DO IT! Its all about $ for this company! They don't give af about you OR your safety! They LOOK comfy, stylish, & pretty but These parts are built to fail! ESPECIALLY anything that has to do with your tires or steering! You know, the little things that could instantly kill you & your whole family if it breaks!
