My 2011 Sorento is a piece of crap

I have 102,000 miles on mine and it is falling apart quickly.I had to replace a broken coil spring and strut,a right front ball joint and tie rod end, An intake manifold,and the whole cluster in the dash had to be replaced,$900 because my engine light bulb burned out Great design!!! NOT!!

I had to replace the transfer case, many recalls and does NOT have a smooth ride. Do not purchase. Do not purchase. Do not purchase. Warning, poorly build vehicle. Do not purchase , many recalls. Warning.

2011 Kia Sorento. 43000 miles

Way too many problems, including cruise control, door locks, radio. Rides roughly. Car uses way too much oil. According to other reviews, it isn’t unusual to use a quart every thousand miles. (I’m not accustomed to adding oil that frequently). Gas mileage isn’t consistently good or bad. It is a nice looking vehicle. I would never buy another one. I’m always concerned that something else will go wrong every time I get in it to drive.

Overall good vehicle with some engineering design flaws

Biggest design flaws are back seat release poorly designed and electronics of phone work poorly. Screen is milky for some time when starting the car.

Extra space not included

Great vehicle overall, just would appreciate more space. Didn't realize this was an issue until we moved our child's seat to a Ford Edge. Other than that it runs well, gets good gas mileage(sometimes 28-32mpg when going 55-60mph) 23-25mpg is avg highway miles going 70-80mph. Another thing we just noticed was the difficulty in changing the headlights ourselves. The manual was useless and just troubleshot until it was figured out. It's something I do not feel should require a shop visit that is easy maintenance.

Under powered

This vehicle has no get up and go. It is roomy, gas mileage is ok, and like the look of it. Needed a sensor replacement but had to buy a hub just to replace sensor. Repair was expensive. Interior is hard to clean.

Safe and Reliable

In 2010, I purchased a 2011 Kia Sorento and have been more than pleased with its performance and affordable maintenance. This 7-passenger SUV is comfortable. The cargo space expands greatly with the ability to fold-down the passenger and third-row seats.

Kia Sorento

For the most part I like my Sorento. The part that is rather inconvenient for me, is having to come to Mankato for warranty work and oil changes. Which is 50 miles away, nothing in my town. Like the look of the vehicle. Wish it rode a little smoother, but part of that is probably the roads.

Radio doesn't work

I have 95K miles on the Kia and the radio stopped working. This is a known problem but has not been recalled to be fixed. They want $400 to put a new one in. I don't agree with this, they should recall them and replace the bad radios. This may sway me from buying another Kia.

I cant give an true review of this car because I bought it used with a 100k miles on it. So far the car has been a pleasure to drive and feels very sturdy. Does not feel like it would tip over going around corners like a lot of suv's. As a used car I could say it is and has been very reliable.

I drive a lot and my Kia sorento aka, Lola is a great car. My hubby is a big guy and he doesn't feel cramped when we take long trips. Also Lots of room with 3rd seat. I take care of her and she has taken care of me.
