Love my Kia

This is the second Kia Sorento we have had. It is an easy ride - recently drove it to florida and back. Small enough to handle easily and get good mileage, but big enough for comfort and storage. Love the red!

gas mileage is bad

I only get an average of 19 miles to a gallon. That is very low according to today's standards

Early Costly Repairs

My 2014 KIA Sorento was purchased new in April of 2014. In under 4 years, my Brake Booster and LED Headlamp Assembly required replacement. The Brake Booster is approximately $1000 to fix and the LED light is $1200 plus tax. Absurdly, the most impressive aspect of the vehicle is how much the parts and repairs end up costing.

2014 KIA Sorento

Be careful of the 2013-2014 model. I have owned this vehicle for 3 years. So far master door actuator has gone out $950 (required control panel replacement in drivers door). The only door which unlocks with the key FOB is the drivers door. One of my LED headlamp eyebrow lights has gone out another $950 to repair. I cannot afford to repair all of this. At 92000 miles I was left stranded due to complete engine failure. Engine seized up. My maintenance on my vehicles is impeccable. This is unacceptable. Luckily KIA chose due extend the warranty to 100,000 miles because they identified an issue in house with this particular motor. I will receive a new short block. Never again! I will go with Nissan from this point forward as soon as I can afford another damn car payment.

Weak headlamps

The low beams are really weak. I usually need to drive with the high beams or fog lights to see the road. OTC bulb replacements with brighter lumens are easy to install but expensive at about $40 a bulb getting only about 120 hours before replacing them again.

Kia

This is my second Kia Sorento. I love it. The 2014 at 100000 miles the engine died but thank goodness for the extended warranty. Brand new engine. Now at 109k it's good as new.

Thoughts

I love my car I try to do my best when taking care of it if I could change anything it would be maybe one or two things. It would be nice if they made the engine a little bigger it would be able to stand more.

Very Comfortable to drive in

I need a car to get to anywhere I am going during the day. Its so comforting to know that the reliability of this car will take me where I want to go everyday and not worry about breakdowns. The gas mileage is awesome, I love the comfort of the car and for what I have, especially the seat warmer, the price was very reasonable.

'14 Sorento

tremendous snow vehicle with plenty of power and good fuel economy! Roomy interior with plenty of utility. I am a former Tahoe and Suburban driver and for all but towing capacity, this SUV keeps me happy!

A Great Vehicle!

I have been overdue for a different vehicle for a long, long time. I chose a 2014 Kia Sorento for my purchase, and so far, couldn't be happier. The finish and details are excellent throughout the vehicle. I am still learning about all of the"bells and whistles" that this car comes with! I am impressed with the length of the power train warranty, but having talked to other Kia owners, I'm not expecting to have to make use of it. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a roomy, reliable, and comfortable vehicle; whether you are going across town, or across the country.

Great SUV!

We really like our 2014 Sorento. We would get another one when our lease is up in March. Unfortunately, they made it bigger for 2016 which offers no advantage to me and takes up more garage space, It is now only available with a 3rd row of seats, which increases the price and takes away a large storage well that we use to store 3 beach chairs. Also, they made the distinctive, sporty, nice looking Kia grille and tail lights look more like just any other SUV. In fact, it now looks as much like a mini van as an SUV. Others may like the new design but, as for me, I'll be looking at other alternatives like a Nissa Murano.
