Alternator

My car was previously maintenance with what I thought was good service couple of mos. before my alternator went out at Subaru . I specifically asked the dealership (Subaru) to check the ignition and general area because it did not sound right . I asked them to do a thorough inspection and I was told everything is ok! A month later I had my car towed as a result of being stranded on the side of the road as a result of a bad alternator. I specifically asked Subaru to inspect the Alternator the day I brought it in ( mos. prior and the day it was towed in) I was told it was my 2 yr. old battery. I then had my car towed from Subaru to the nearby battery shop that I had my 2 yr. warranty under and they replaced it advising there was something more serious wrong w the car which by a local (mom and pop) auto repair shop advised and fixed my Alternator , correcting the same issue I told Subaru was wrong with it in the same week. Subaru caused time, money and frustration on my end misdiagnosing my car. My confidence in big dealership automotive repair is ruined! The sales rep that assisted me inquiring about a purchase of a car was slightly rude and matter of a factly w his personality. Not sure if that was b/c I was a women but I cant imagine him selling many cars. Needless to say I will not be back!

Don’t do it

This car can get you from A to B but don’t expect it to do anything else. I put more money into this vehicle than what I bought it for. Everything is wrong with it the ESC light always turns on. Nothing fun about driving this vehicle.

I'm used to it, so . . . okay I guess.

I've had it for about 3½ years, so I'm used to it by now. It handles very well, is comfortable to drive and passengers seem pleased. I would prefer more cargo space in the back (behind the back seat). When I "get on it," it SOUNDS like it has more guts than it actually does, but it holds onto the highway just fine on longer drives (70+ miles). I would buy another one if the price and condition were suitable, but I may look for a van next time. The radio, by the way, is factory installed Pioneer and is quite frankly - crap. I use a portable desktop radio instead.

2007 Kia Sportage

I bought this car used with 74,000mi. Was in excellent condition. Now has 130,000mi. Still feels very solid without rattles. Engine and transmission strong (V6). Been running SYN oil and drain trans yearly using SYN there also. It's not the fastest and the gas mileage is around 20mpg on average with air on, but is very comfortable for our purposes. Changed timing belt and water pump at 100,000 and just had to change the front lower suspension bushings ( I live on rough dirt road and 130K miles). Looking forward to 300,000mi. D.C.

2007 Kids Sportage

We were lucky enough to buy ours with 30,000 original miles on it. We are the 2nd owners. However there were a couple of recalls on it. One we got fixed the other one requires 4 to 5 hours of waiting since we live out of Topeka. The dealership takes their time doing the job if we use the shuttle to go somewhere else in town to wait. Some of the parts are hard to find because Kia doesn't make them anymore. The antenna does not have a very far range. I do love the way it drives. It does have a small gas tank so you have to fill up often. But overall it was a good buy.

MY SPORTAGE

THIS VEHICLE IS THE MOST NICEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!!! IT HAS THE MOST COMFORABLE RIDE AND NOTHING HAS EVER GONE WRING. I HAVE ONY DID MY OIL CHANGES AND MILEAGE MAINTANCE ON MY SPORTAGE. I HAVE DRIVEN THIS KIA FOR 7 YEARS AND I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE IT IN YET. IF EVERYONE HAS ONE LIKE MY SPORTAGE, DEALERS WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM, BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD WANT TO TRADE IT IN............................. I BOUGHT IT IN 2007 WITH 10000 MILES AND IT NOW JAS 53000 MILES.

I have never had a problem with my Kia,I have always kept the service up to date and I really can't think of 1 bad thing. My back window won't roll down, Guess thats it.

Love my Kia Sportage

When it came in to trade in my Ford Escape I had very specific criteria a silver Kia Sportage with leather interior and I was extremely fortunate enough to find that exact vehicle within my price range and no thought of trading it in anytime soon !!

I LOVE MY 2007 SPORTAGE, NO REAL PROBLEMS, JUST YOUR NORMAL MAINTENCE. JUST 61000 MILES AND SHE STILL RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. IT HAD 10000 MILES ON IT WHEN I BOUGT IT.

Still Like New

This particular model Sportage is more than any mini-SUV has on the market. We have attempted to buy a newer one, but the inside room is smaller, seats aren't as comfy. Ours has every single thing a Kia could have, from running boards/heated seats/premium sound to leather seats/full tint/driving lights/running boards....all factory installed. It's a keeper at 180K, never a single problem. PS...we change oil every 3K and do ALL the upkeep, that helps for any auto.

2007 Kia Sportage EX V6

I'm very pleased with this SUV for how well it runs and handles. It has 4WD (as needed) and does well in the snow. The ride is very comfortable, it's a solidly built vehicle. I do wish the Audio/Stereo System was of higher quality, but I'm planning on changing that soon.

I'm very happy with my 2007 Kia Sportage EX

I was very fortunate when an aquaintance found this vehicle at an auto auction for me. It goes very well in the snow and rain, is easy to drive and park, and am hopefully going to get at least 75,000 more miles on her.

2007 still truckin

Love this small SUV. Bought it new and will drive it till it falls apart. Still in good shape with regular maintenance. Bought it to haul out stuff on vacation and it actually fits trash barrels in back so can use it for trips to recycle center.
