Incredible car. Best car I have ever owned. Very comfortable. Functioning well at 197,000 miles. I did have a transmission issue at 80,000 miles which was covered by extended warranty. A few minor wear and tear issues: lighter/charger, dome light, sluggish power window, etc.

LOVE MY LEXUS!
I bought my 98 Lexus ES300 as a one-owner in 2008. It had about 185,000 miles and I absolutely LOVE it. I don't drive alot since I retired and it just turned over 200,000 miles but its still a quiet, tight car that I would set out on a cross-country trip with little more than an oil change. I keep it serviced regularly as did the previous owner and I will never sell this car! I love it love it love it. The ONLY problem its got is the digital read out on the radio - its scrambled where you can't tell what station you're on but I hear this may be normal with the older Lexus'. If you're thinking about buying one and know the previous owner(s) took care of it, BUY IT!

Awesome reliable car
I will only buy Lexus for reliability and comfort. My car is at 225,000 and runs well. The only major repair has been transmission which was under warranty. Regular maintenance is necessary if you want to keep your Lexus for 250,000 miles or more. I change my oil regularly. Older cars do need repairs as items wear out... which is cheaper than monthly car payments.

I love my smooth, quiet car!
My car is entering it's 22nd year. I have 130k miles in it. The paint is still shiny. It's still smooth riding and quiet. I hope to drive it another 10 years! Brakes last a long time. Solid build. Confortable seats. I bought it when it was 7 years old but with only 13,500 miles on it.

The Lexus was new and special in 1998 when we bought it. Now it is old and special. It has been well cared for by good people, and has never left us in a bad spot. It does not rattle or squeak or complain. The only difficulty is trying to find a new vehicle that we will like as much.

I bought my '98 Lexus back in '07 and it's the best horse that I've ever owned. I paid $5,500 and it had 125k miles on it. It now has 250k miles and it's still rolling strong. I don't know if I want another car because I don't know if there's a better vehicle for me.

My 1998 Lexus ES300 nicknamed “LEXI” is now an 5 owner car. I’m the 5th & I’ve met the 2nd, 3rd & 4th owners . All tell me she was taken care of up until it got vandalized while with 4 th owner. She’s ugly & torn up. But she runs & drives like a Lexus. Andy’s replaced my timing belt & all other belts at 200,000. She’ll be good for another 200,000. Plan to make her pretty again soon.
