I my cx 5 experience

Due to knee replaced surgery I couldn't drive my standard shift car any longer.. it's I wanted a willys wagon restomod. . That's where they take a car and on top its 1962 underneath uts 2023 .. I couldn't find what I wanted so I started looking at reviews the mazda cx 5 was very highly rated. It is a comfortable suv to drive Handel's well and is all wheel drive and is very sure footed. It has all the amenities power windows. Navigation roomy cargo area lots of power for a small sum and good breaking system to match the power.. you'll have no problem pulling out on the highway. . It's at home at the theater or a hunting trip. I made the fight move buying this car no regrets

Mazda cx5

There are a few interior design flaws such as cup holders for front seat are very awkward to use , especially if the seat is all the way forward. Also the lack of a power passenger seat. But the worst feature is the Toyo tires! Worn out before two years & zero warranty coverage for treadwear or road hazards. Media center hard to use. Cell phone plug in for back seat is in trunk area & virtually unuseable. The radio can't be muted but not turned off. The radar cruise control is often blocked and leaves you with no cruise control at all.

New 2016 CX-5

Love the vehicle. Only downside is the mpg stated in brochure. About 10% below stated range.

Luv it but...

Luv my CX-5 Except when I upgraded to an IPhone 6s my texting no longer worked in the car!!! Supposedly Mazda needs to do an update and the service advisor blamed it on Apple. I don't really care who's fault it is but I'm sooo mad!! That was a huge selling point and that feature no longer works!!!! I would have maybe purchased a different vehicle that actually has that technology!!! Mazda needs to keep up with technology!!!!

Good vehicle but not the most pet/kid friendly interior

I have a 2016 Mazda CX5 GT. It's a nice looking, well equipped vehicle, with good gas mileage for an AWD small SUV (I average 25.5 combined) and hasn't given me any mechanical issues in 14k miles. 14k miles may sound like Oh of course you wouldn't have mechanical issues... Drive the newer Ford Focus and you'll have transmission troubles way sooner than 14k miles ;-) My only complaint with this vehicle is the interior is NOT pet or kid friendly. The dash is some sort of soft material that collect dust and hair like crazy and it's not easy to wipe off like your typical plastic dash; it looks nice don't get me wrong. The leather seats has little pin holes (by design) look cool but you'll soon realize every crumb from every crunchy item anyone dares to eat in your new car will clog up those holes and even taking a little pin to try to push it through doesn't always dislodge the crumb; vacuuming with a shop vac won't even dislodge the crumbs! Finally, the center console lid is covered with a really soft leather or fake leather (not sure which) but it tears really easy. I've had several new cars over the years all the way from a Ford to a BMW and the interior of this car just doesn't hold up as well to the daily wear and tear from family & pets. If you have pristine kids, don't eat in your car, and hairless/nailess pets, this car is great!

2nd cx5 bought

Previously had a 2013 CX 5. Love the 2016.5 CX EXCEPT FOR: 1. the Sirius screen is half cut off; Small peanuts, I know, but annoying. 2. the new Nav system not as useful as the old Tom Tom in the 2013. Unbelievably, NO REAL TIME TRAFFIC INFO! Dealer says "Mazda working on..." What is the old saying? Oh yes, "It will be fixed 'tomorrow!'." I say Mazda rushed it out half done and I am irritated that such a nice rig marred by a couple of design flaws that NEVER should have seen the light of day.

2016 cx-5

I bought this car with 23k on it from a private party. This car was well taken care for and is immaculate. Most everything about this car is great. Not long after I got it the tranny started acting up. I took it in and it had a internal error. They replaced the tranny no questions asked under warranty. The car is built well, but a few things bug me. The lumbar does not move up and down and is in wrong area for my back. The gas mileage is a big range. If you have a heavy foot or drive any hills the gas mileage is not that great, which is one reason I bought this. Doors close solid and materials use are nice.

Greathandling and responsiveness.

I've owned my CX-5 for 2 years now and it continues to drive well. Plenty of power and to date has had no problems. I just wish it got better gas mileage.

Many nice features and reliability

The 2016 CX5 is a nice car to drive and travel in. The difference between 4 and 5 stars for me is in the details. Really poor Nav system. Rear hatch cup to pull the hatch down would fall out repeatedly. The USB connection would not charge devices and kept power on when the engine was off, causing the car battery to discharge if left for a few days. The console cover latch broke so there loud stayed open. Otherwise, a spirited decent vehicle.

I love to drive the car. I got it for my wife. It’s suppose to be our family car. But little by little we started to realize the built of the car was made for fun driving and not so much for the people in the back seats

WOW

What a great car. So well designed. Great Bose sound system. Great interior and well built. This is my first Mazda after driving Subaru and Kia.....and I think I will be liking my Zoom Zoom.

2016 Mazda CX-5

It's phenomenal in every respect. After owning a 2007 BMW X-3 for many years another brand is a tough act to follow. I am not disappointed with my Mazda in any respect. The ride, handling, braking, and power are excellent. The six speed automatic transmission seems to "know" the exact gear I would select. The fuel economy is great. I average in the high 20's around town, and over 30 mpg on trips. The sport mode adds the high performance often needed in merge situations. It's too easy to get into the high 70's before you are aware of it. I learned to watch the speedometer more carefully. It's just been a great car, quiet, reliable, all wheel drive, a superb car that my wife enjoys driving as well.

New Car!

My new Mazda drives beautifully. My only wish is that the driver seat would be higher. In the Rogue I traded, I was much higher up. Being petite the extra few inches helps a lot! Love all the smart features and the slick look of the white on black interior. I've never considered a Mazda until this year and I'm so glad I did!

Awesome

Only one word for car... Awsome. The best feature I like about the car is the sport mode. In sport mode I can feel the engine response. Manul gears come as handy feature. I have driven manual gear cars till now so having manual gear option make car more in control.

Love my CX-5

1 week into driving my CX-5 and the new car excitement hasn't worn off. It drives beautifully, is great on gas, is super quiet and I love the entertainment & communication system!!

Zoom zoom zoom! 2016 CX-5 is da bomb.

I love my CX-5. It's my fifth Mazda and now my favorite. It handles like a champ with the all-wheel drive, and I feel as safe as possible. It's big enough to fit everything I need and keeps me sitting high enough to really see what's going on. The gas mileage is phenomenal and I'm expecting to have very little reason to have it in for servicing--a major factor in my purchase. And last but not least, it's stylish with lots of wonderful bells and whistles. Love this crossover!
