2013 Mazda Speed 3 - hatchback

Rating 3.5 stars. I purchased the vehicle to learn how to drive a manual transmission and I needed a vehicle. It serves its purpose, but do not expect anything special from the base model. The vehicle performs well in snow and regular conditions. You start to notice small issues after driving the car for a bit. Acceleration and performance in general is lacking, but you could install modifications to boost performance. It’s a good car to get around, but you’ll outgrow it quickly. At least I did.

Great car - awful sight lines.

I love the car, but backing up is always something of a gamble in parking lots. The sight lines are awful. Indeed, a month ago another car and mine backed to at the same time, and crunched into each other. Better sight lines would have let me see them coming.

Wish I would have bought another Hyundai

First of all the dealer did not know his product. Jake Sweeney Mazda is a dishonest dealer. The Mazda 3 does not compare to the Elantra I had. It's noisier, has a rougher ride, has cheaper finishes, and is not as roomy. Mazda does not care how their dealers conduct themselves.

Wish I had bought another Elantra

I bought it at Jake Sweeney Mazda. They are horrible. They are dishonest and do not know their product. The car is not as roomy as my Elantra. It feels like it has a truck suspension. It's noisy and has cheap finishes. Customer service was terrible. I will never buy another Mazda after my experience with this dealer and Mazda USA.

Love it.

This is my first Mazda. I have had two Honda's which I liked also. This is a 2013 model 3 touring hatchback which I purchased used. I also bought the warranty from Credit Union that I financed it through. A good looking car that's gets great gas mileage and has good performance also.

Why didn't I buy Mazdo sooner?

Loving everything about it. I feel like I missed the boat earlier and which I would have looked at them years ago. They'll definitely be at the top of my list moving forward.

Our Mazda 3 hatchback

Most manufacturers inflate their mileage claims. We were told our Skyactive motor would get 40 mpg freeway. We took it for a 130 drive over Snoqualmie Pass from Ellensburg to Redmond and got 43.2 ! Thanks Mazda!

2013 Mazda 3 coupe

I've owned this previously rented vehicle for about 10k miles and am extremely happy with the vehicle. I'd rather that it was a manual transmission and a hatchback, but you get what you can find in a used vehicle. I really love how the car handles, gas mileage (34 mpg combined city and highway), acceleration,comfort and looks.

What a fun car to drive!

After driving a Volvo XC90 for several years, I wondered how it would be to go back to a smaller car. I should have known that if its a Mazda, it's going to be a great ride! They not only usually have a sleeker look to offset even the most basic design, but they have pep and lightness to them along with great handling. The vehicle is still quite efficient. It is my 4th Mazda (626, RX7, Tribute and now the Mazda 3) and I'm very happy with it.

I love my car! 2013 Mazda3. Great reviews. Handles like a dream. Everything I wanted in a used car! Very happy with the Sales Staff! Roy Hernandez knows how to treat people respectfully and patient. Never a rushed moment. Great experience!

A good car with awful sight lines

This car runs well, is fun to drive, however the sight lines are poor. Frankly, I have a lot of problems seeing when backing. Given a choice, I would not buy it again based on this problem. Safety first. Style second.

Unbearable road noise on extended travel. Cannot hear conversation in the cabin without yelling. Comfortable seats, roomy.
