Outstanding vehicle all-around!

This car is a blast to drive! It has great feedback and precise control, as well as great looks and a very well-appointed interior. It also gets better fuel economy than expected; on a recent trip it returned 39.4 mpg, even with some stop and go driving and freeway speeds of 70 mph, besting the EPA estimated highway mileage by more than 2 mpg. Another bonus is that with the rear seats folded completely flat it can fit a fully-assembled mountain bike in the trunk! I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

My first Mazda, and I anticipate more in the future

Bought a Mazda6 GrandTouring in Nov 2016. The purchase process through my Florida dealership was unpleasant and painful, but the ownership of the vehicle since then has been great for the first 11 months and through two scheduled service visits and no unscheduled service visits or unexpected repairs.

2017 Mazda6 Touring

Extremely happy with my decision to purchase. Looking at other manufacturers and by chance stopped to look at a used Mazda6. Too many miles on that vehicle, but sales staff told me about dealer incentives on 4 2017's they had left. Drove home that night with 1 of them, again, very happy with my decision... Great Car!

Love the car, but requires a special expensive replacement battery

My top of the line 2017 Grand Touring model is comfortable and drives great. Has all the safety features. It has the optional i-ELOOP system which is supposed to provide an extra mile per gallon. However this system requires a special battery. The replacement is only available from Mazda at $460. The extra mile per gallon savings do not cover the high cost of the battery.

Mazda 6 GT

I love the body style and interior of this car. It’s my second Mazda 6 GT. It rides and handles very well. The only negative for me is it needs more torque or a turbo for faster acceleration from a standstill.

Wants to be a sports car

If you are getting older and want something sexy, but not too obvious, the 6 is your answer. Now if you ARE already older, you may find it difficult to get in and out. Once inside though, feel free to open her up. She wants to go.

Better than average with some issues

I bought my Mazda 6 new in 2017. Interior is much nicer than my old Chevy Malibu was, no comparison. Gas mileage even at 70,000 miles is still on average at 35mpg, which is very good. Ride is quite stiff, but steering gives you plenty feedback. Brakes are still original. Acceleration is medium, newer cars are much faster. Trunk is very spacious. Issues with visibility, definitely recommend small mirror attachments on the external mirrors. Rear camera is below average. On occasion at start the radio turns on automatically. GPS too bright at night, cannot be dimmed. Definitely not a rocket. Seats are comfortable.

Don't get the 2017 year...

2018 Mazda6 have a much larger horsepower and Turbo increasing HP from 230 to around 320, and includes Android connectivity. Those are the 2 changes I can think of, but they are big ones to me and I would have gladly paid the $1,000 more if I had known at the time. The one thing I don't like about Mazda is their 3 year warranty, it's not competitive like other companies. And the extended warranty (very fine print) does not cover the Nav display. Mine is going and it's not covered and it cost around $1300 to have it replaced (which I won't do). Overall I love the car though, great handling, roomy, good gas mileage (30s), and has every bell and whistle possible on it that I really like.
