We really loved it until....
We loved our Mazda when we got it. Felt we had gotten a great deal on it. After owning it for 10 months (we purchased in private sale) we took it for an inspection sticker and wound up with a $1,500 repair bill. We had to replace all 4 tires, (all wheel drive recommends that you replace all 4) There were a few mechanical things that needed attention but the worst part was that there was a rust issue that has been a long standing problem for Mazda and we were not aware of it. Only after we discovered the problem did I do the research to learn that Mazda actually has a recall on thousands of Mazda's for this very problem. Of course, our vehicle wasn't covered for the year it was built. My take away for all of this was, when purchasing a used vehicle, make sure you have a thorough inspection done to make sure that all is well with the major components of your vehicle. Now that all has been taken care of we LOVE our Mazda Tribute and expect we will get many years of driving pleasure from it.
