Rocketship in sheep's clothing

Probably the most amazing car I have ever driven and owned. 2004 and still as solid as a new car. Expensive to repair, but you should expect it if you are getting a 500HP sedan. However, once you step on the gas it's worth it. Comfortable, quick and fits the family. Hard finding enough open road or spaces to exercise it since it's that fast. Transmission mapping could be a little better - sometimes sluggish downshifts. I have to keep in mind that the car is 10 years old and today's transmissions are so much improved. Oh yeah.....don't expect good gas mileage either. Old school power in a big V8.

Best car I've ever owned

I'm 68 years old and have owned many cars, including Volvos, Subarus, Toyotas, Honda, and VWs. None compare to the quality, safety, and good service this car has given me. I aspire to nothing else except maybe a newer version. But why? At 173,500 miles, it's like new.

Best car I've ever owned

I've owned several Volvos, VWs, Toyotas, Subarus, and some American cars, and after 180,000 miles, this car feels as great as the day I bought it new from a dealer.

Quality vehicle

Bought 2004 vehicle 6 years ago and it looks showroom quality even today -as solid and quiet as ever. Nothing loose or worn. Amazing quality. Best purchase in a vehicle I ever made (not bad for 15K!)

At 106,000 miles, this vehicle remains a reliable, peppy, responsive and comfortable means of transportation that is fun to drive. Regardless of the purpose for or the length of my trip, each time I get behind the wheel, have the seat grab my sides and strap on my seat belt, I look forward the drive ahead.

Love Mercedes E class vehicles. While mine is a 2004 e320 and has some wear on it, it still has style, comfort and runs great! I can only imagine what the E-500 would be like to drive...pure luxury I’d guess.

2005 E500 4Matic

Fantastic ride, reliable on long trips, easy on gas, with plenty of power. Best vehicle I've ever owned, out of 50 plus cars and trucks over 50 years. Quality and fit, hey, it's a German made Mercedes. I've had 2 other Mercedes, a 240D, and a C280. This is a HUGE step up on the ladder, in the Mercedes line. I Love This Car!! I may have to upgrade to an E550, or an AMG for my next purchase. Maybe not.

Love my cedes

I bought it used 2004:e320 wagon 5 months ago and have only put $300. maintenance in it . If I can drive it 30k miles a year and put $2500. or less a year in maintaining I'm happy .

Never another Mercedes

Mercedes has the reputation as being a high quality automobile. I have been extremely disappointed in my E500. From multiple suspension, radiator, engine mounts, electrical issues to simple things like failing sun visor, leather surfaces, and hood supports.
