1999 SLK

Overall good top down summer driving car. Classic design. Comfortable. Car seems to be loosening up with age. Roof rattles on cold days. Overall great car for warm climates with top down.

1999 SLK 230

We got this car second hand from the original owner with only 102,000 miles on it. The original owner had faithfully serviced the car at Mercedes Benz of San Diego since day one and that is an important factor when choosing a pre owned MB. The SLK is super agile, smooth, fast and very comfortable considering it is a 2 seat coupe. It averages around 20 MPG and has a very peppy motor. The downside to this vehicle, being a 2 seat coupe is that you cannot carry much other than a sweatshirt in the cabin when your have two people inside. So otherwise a great car, very specific use vehicle. It does make you want to know what a full size SL would be like to own and drive....

Awesome little sportscar

This is a great little car…. My 1999 convertible hardtop only has 49,000 original miles on it, you could eat off the engine. The people at automotion commented that it was the nicest 1999 they have seen. The only issue I have with the car up to this point is getting out of the car. As I am 64 years old and weigh about 260 pounds. So it’s not easy to get out of LOL

Amazing car for the money

Yes Mercedes are pricey to have work done but if you spend the time on finding a well taken care of older model this car gives you a lot of beauty, power, and pride for very little money comparatively. Using slk websites and YouTube can save a lot of money in routine maintenance and repairs with little or no experience. Love this car!
