Love the car except for the front passenger airbag seems to be coming out of the dashboard. I called Mitsubishi and they said that this is a cosmetic issue but yet the light came on saying the airbag is not engaged. We also looked at another Spyder and it had the same problem.
See comments above about the passenger side airbag and dashboard. The dashboard has opened up where the airbag is located. I have spoken to Mitsubishi the first time the customer service operator said yes we have calls about the dashboard. I asked her if they had a recall on the problem and she said that there was not one. I expressed my consent about the light coming on, which to me meant that the airbag would not function properly if we were in a accident. I took it to a couple of garages and they could not do anything. They called Mitsubishi and were told I could purchase a new dashboard and they would check the airbag. This would be a cost to us . We stared to look at other spyders but we could only get closer to one and it also had the same problem. You asked if we would recommend this car and we would tell them to check out the dashboard closely to make sure it is not separating. I believe that this is a safety issue and I hope they don’t wait until someone is hurt or worst yet killed.!!!! Love the Car but don’t feel safe. Please excuse my errors in this review.
