Piece of crap!

I have had this vehicle for 3 years and the amount of trouble I’ve had with it has been tiresome. From tire issues to leaks to system issues to tech issues, etc. I am very upset and disappointed. When I was sold this vehicle, I was sold on the fact that it was super reliable and one of the best vehicles on the road. This has not been the case and unfortunately either I was lied to or this vehicle is a lemon. Either way, I am super unhappy and very angry.

Subaru's failure to deal with ongoing issues

1. Rear tail gate malfunction and an alarm that you can't shut off until you disconnect the battery...and resets everything. 2. Careful...it easily oversteers....gotta learn to deal with that quick. 3. Apparently wears out auto batteries quicker than average. 4. "Eye Sight" (automatic sensing system) lots of annoying beeps.....and almost caused an accident. I was driving down the road, a car coming the other way, turned left from the turn lane across my path, it was far enough away and moving fast enough, that I did not even take my foot off the gas, much less think about braking....the automatic eye sight system caused the car to SLAM ON THE BRAKES!!! After that incident, I block off the Eye Sight sensors. (Both the Eye Sight issue and the Rear Gate issue, Subaru has know about for at least two years and has not addressed either) A 60K service recomendation list that runs into thousands of dollars....didn't see that coming!

My fun and go mobile.

I’ve had this car a year and drove it on one road trip. It is comfortable and the features are neat. The car handles well. It’s a little road noisy compared to my minivan and not as smooth a ride either. That’s ok though. The eyesight kept malfunctioning. I’d keep it parked in my garage for a few weeks, pull it out for a cruise and eyesight would be disabled and the car would say take me in for service. So I did. It sat there at the repair shop for a month waiting for parts. Keep in mind it only has 4,000 miles on it. Finally after 4 weeks it’s repaired so I can drive it again. Honestly I’m a little hesitant to do so but I’m paying for the miles so I’ll take a shot at it. This car feels rushed to assembly. Don’t rush Subaru. Also I have 3 little kids and lifting a car seat over the middle seat is a pain, in my minivan the middle row is removable.

Very poor gas milage. Very "nervous" steering.

Excellent vehicle in every aspect expected from this type of SUV. Loved everything about it except 17.2 miles per gallon economy and absolutely terrible steering, it is too sensitive.

zippy and easy to drive

I like most things about this vehicle, but it is missing the birds eye camera I had on my previous SUV and I wish the back window opened without lifting the hatch. Seat are hard and the heated seat gets too hot really quick.

Drives great! Comfortable inside. The truck is a little small for golf clubs. I do not love how the white paint wears by the door handles. I enjoy the side waring lights. I bought this car 6 months used from a business connection.

Ascent

The ascent is spacious and accommodates for 7 people nicely. Has some trouble with the transmission recall which that was taken care of quickly. Car handles beautifully in the snow/rain conditions we live in.

Very positive experience

My wife and I both love the Accent. It has been very dependable and we feel safe in the car. We bought the car originally because of the Subaru history of all-wheel drive and the safety features that it has. As a senior citizen I feel great comfort in knowing if my reflexes are too slow to avoid and accident, in most cases the car itself will. The car is very comfortable and holds the road extremely well. One item I would like to see improved is the noise level. The car tends to be noisy.
