2005 Baja XT MT

When this car first released, I thought it just looked like a funky car/truck thing, but as I was already a fan of the El Camino and Brat, it held a soft spot in my heart. Over time, I grew to know Subaru better, and decided to hunt one of these down (back in 2017). Other than being a great rig for camping, I love being one of the few on the road to be driving one, and I always make sure to point out it's a turbo model with a manual, which has spurred a few purchase inquiries. Some of my scores are taking into mind that the car is 12 years old(at time of purchase), so things like comfort, features and interior design are low due to aged aesthetics, tech. at the time, used and abused seat cushions, or expected mechanical wear & tear.

Hope Subaru Takes the Hint and Brings Back the Baja

Even after fifteen (15) years, I still smile every time I get near my car. No it does not have the current safety features, but it is a great car, and I get asked every time I am driving it and stop at a store, or where ever, if I want to sell it. Unless Subaru comes out with a new, cute Baja, I cannot sell it, because what would I drive. I even thinking paying the money and having it turned into an electric vehicle or hybrid, but do not know if that is possible. I do not like the current vehicles, especially trucks, that have eyebrows as their lights, not only in the front but also in the back. Who wants to see a truck with eyebrows? That would be like seeing a Volkswagon Bug which are cute with eyebrows, but no self respecting truck would have eyebrows.

2005 Garnet Pearl Red Turbo

Wish the tonneau cover had been fiberglass with shocks able to lift & lock like a trunk & easily removable to be used like a truck. Otherwise, I love my Baja. People want to buy it everywhere I go. When they offer me $30k I’ll sell her until then she’s only got $75k miles & has had all her service done earlier then needed & more often. She drives like a dream.

I have always wanted a Subaru Baja! Even though they stopped making them,Had heard good things about The Baja.

My Baja was a great choice,As I really needed a vehicle that handles Rochester Winter's.The AWD is Excellent & handles Well Through the Worst of Snow storms.Is a Great handling vehicle For all seasons!
