I have to get used to it after having trucks for the past thirty years but so far I love it!

The car runs very well, still getting used to it. Love the backup feature. The Bluetooth app is really special. The color is perfect. The radio also comes in very clear and on the actual location on the dial. Have a great side view with all the windows. The outside mirrors are larger than some of my prior cars and gives a much better idea of what is coming along side of me. I use them for this purpose almost exclusively. Touchy gas pedal. I will adjust eventually. Has a really good pickup speed.

Moved up from 2007 Forester to new 2016.

I wish there was more interior storage in the new model. And that a rear cargo cover was "standard" option. The vehicle is fun to drive and I feel very safe in it.

2016 Forester

I like the car very much. I only have 2 complaints. 1- the seats are too firm and there is a low spot which puts pressure on the back of the leg. This is very uncomfortable after 30 minutes of driving. 2- there could be a little more storage in the dash and doors.

Forester

My Subaru is comfortable and I like the collision avoidance systems, lane departure warning and the back up camera. Very happy with the car, generally, but am not impressed with the gps system. It does not have all current maps for some areas.

great vehicle

My only complaiint is with the center console storage. I have to move the seat all the way back to get access which means needing change for tolls or other things is a problem. If it were reversed it would make life easier for height challenged people. Can't seem to master the wiper controls to get fluid onto windshield. It always ends up just turning on the rear wiper. Two years and still can't master the darn thing.

Our Subaru Forrester

It’s a nice vehicle... I do not like the speakers. I hate the clock...it’s extremely hard to change the time and I hate the screen...it’s tough to read during daylight-hours. Doors are light so they feel a little tinny. Road noise bothers me. Not a quiet interior.

Reliable, fuel=efficient, and affordable

Pros and Cons below mostly sum it up. I was not after a luxurious, car-like driving experience so I wasn’t disappointed. That said, I’d be a little happier if the handling and braking were better than mediocre, but they’re not. Maybe worse, actually. It’s a bit underpowered, but given the handling and braking, that’s probably for the best! Having the manual transmission helps and makes it more enjoyable for a driving enthusiast. Gets great mpg, especially for an SUV. Light towing capacity (1500) and the fairly generous cargo space is somewhat compromised by rear seats that don’t quite fold all the way flat. Road/wind/engine noise are fine around town but grow tiresome on a long trip.

2016 Subaru Forester 6 speed manual transmission

Overall a solid, good looking, fun to drive car. Time will tell if it’s as reliable as my old Honda, but so far it’s been great. Forester is comfortable, quiet, and fun to drive with the manual transmission.
