2004 Subaru Legacy Wagon

I love my car, but my mechanic tells me that it was built with a timing belt rather than a timing chain. The new Subarus have timing chains but, if I get one, I won't be able to have a standard shift--boo, hoo majorly!!!

2004 SUBARU LEGACY SEDAN (NAT'L)

My car would make a beautiful picture; your picture does no justice in looking so ordinary. Subaru is extraordinary! How many things in one's life look as good in 2017 as they did in 2004? People stop me and ask if my car is for sale, as I have Subaru detail it once a year to keep it looking like new. With 83K memorable miles and another 100K to go I love my Subaru and would not think of having a new car because of all the computer management I would need. And at my same age as my miles, my Legacy is a great legacy for my son--except that I intend to drive those 100K miles myself! Gwendolyn Bevard

I AM SOMETIMES STOPPED BY MEN WHO ASK ME ABOUT MY 2004 LEGACY v6 SUBARU: iS IT FOR SALE? WHAT YEAR IS IT? MILEAGE? (83,000) AND FINALLY COMPLIMENTS ABOUT HOW "NEW" IT LOOKS--THANKS TO 2004 LEGACY'S GREAT FORWARD DESIGN AND THE STUNNING BLACK WITH GOLD TRIM. MY OWN MILEAGE MATCHES MY CARS (83), AND THOUGH I ADORE THE BRZ, I CANNOT GET OUT OF IT, PLUS COMPUTERIZED CARS HAVE NO APPEAL. WE'RE TOGETHER FOR THE LONG HAUL! GWENDOLYN BEVARD

A 2004 SUBARU KEEPER

I am often asked if my 2004 Subaru is for sale. The interest is in the perfect condition of my Legacy Sedan having never missed a service. I keep this car, because I know that 2018 is not "like" 2004 in under the hood benefits. I am not a computer whiz, so prefer the standard OP. It will outlove me!
