2007 Legacy 2.5 GT Wagon - A great Car

This vehicle served our needs for 14 years. Short trips, cross-country trips, it took us and our dogs anywhere we wanted to go. Set on ECON, we averaged 27-28 mpg from North Carolina to California at Interstate speeds. Set on SPORT for driving the California Freeways, we consistently got 25 mpg; at the same setting, we got 18-20 mpg driving in the suburbs. With the back seat folded, it was amazing just how much we could load it with. The wonderful sound system had to be boosted while listening on the freeway due to road noise. The power seats allowed front-seat occupants to always find a comfortable setting. The leather trim stood up wonderfully. We never used the roof rack. Keeping the tires inflated 3 psi above the recommended pressure gave us even tire wear and at no degradation of its' superb handling. Sticking to the Subaru's Maintenance Schedule resulted with zero breakdowns.....well, perhaps I cut the set of intervals by 10%. The Oil Filter was always changed along with the Oil. Finally, to our eyes, it never went out of style.

2007 Subaru Legacy

Car was bought in May of 2007 & was a dealer demo with 4500 miles on it ~ This Is a second car for me & currently has a shade over 60000 miles on it ~ as you can see I don't drive it much but when I do I really enjoy it ~

Would be perfect except for some signifigant engine problems.

I like station wagons. Not SUV's, CUV's, crossovers, or pick up trucks. I will tolerate a sedan or a coupe for a short while until the novelty wears off. That being said there isn't a lot out there in the wagon segment that's affordable or has a good reliability record. I would love another outback but dont want to go through the misery of two major engine repairs again. I understand that all machines wer out over time but these problems came up prematurely.

Great dependable vehicle

It's a station wagon so it's not cool by any means but it does excellent in all weather conditions and has been very dependable.

07' legacy outback

This vehicle has been very dependable so far with very minimal issues. So far the cluncking in the transmission hasn't gotten any worse and after an alignment the tires will be better now.
