Nice Car with Poor Quality

Love the comfort and features, but too many issues with low miles. So far after 46k miles the CVT Pump and rear bearings are bad. Now today says the seat is torn.... I am Honda person and now appreciate their superior quality even more.

PASSENGER SEAT

THE ONLY THING THAT IS BAD WITH OUTBACK IS IT SHOULD HAVE HEIGHT AND LUMBAR ADJUSTMENTS.VERY UNCOMFORTABLE

Great new car!!

I was just going to look, not buy. But, I loved it. And my previous Subaru was 21 years old with 270,000 miles on it, so it was time....though it is still in great shape with high resale value. Subarus are great cars!

Subaru vs. 25 years of Audi's

Drove Audi's 25 years. Due to retirement and fixed income needed car not as expensive to fix. Bought 2014 Subaru....OK rating. Upgraded to 2016 to get new "creature comforts" such as power hatchback lift, rear heated seats, better visiability. Love the decreased wind noise vs the 2014--handling tighter. Better visability on passenger side with dash somewhat lower than 2014. What would make this a 5 star car is passenger seat having position changes of up and down, not just forward and backward since sometimes I'm not the primary driver.

Great Vehicle

Needed a practical, comfortable, economical car as we have retired. It has hit well on all points. Got the premium model with Eye Sight. Love the adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitor. The controls are easy to use, seats are exceptionally comfortable. Has a lot of room for passengers and cargo. All wheel drive improves safety in rain and snow. Only negative, had to replace battery as it is too small, had to jump start a couple times, replaced with larger size, no more issues.It is no wonder Subaru is selling as many Outbacks they can build, great vehicle.

Great vehicle

My wife researched vehicles prior to our move from Missouri to Idaho. She selected this vehicle for us. I am glad that she did so. I do have a few comments as well. The voice recognition on the navigation system is just about useless, so if I am moving, I cannot use voice commands to help me navigate. Hopefully, this has been improved since 2016. In many other applications from 2016, including medical dictation, voice recognition powered by Dragon Naturally Speaking, does a far better job of converting the spoken work to commands.

Review of my 2o16 Subaru Outback

I love my 2016 Subaru Outback. It is very reliable. It drives well in all conditions. My bicycle, golf clubs, and a month of traveling gear can all fit inside the car. I love the technology, especially the warning signal when I am backing up and and a person or vehicle I cannot see is approaching from the side or is behind me as well as the warning signal of cars in my blind spot. I have two complaints about my car. 1. The forward looking cameras, from time to time, go off-line for a minute or two and then come back on, usually at night or in inclement weather. This is dangerous when the cruise control is on. 2. The soundproofing is not very good. Lots of road noise. I still love my car.

Great car except for frequently discharged battery from minimal electrical drain situations.

This is my third Outback, but the first with all of the safety features. From the time of our purchase of this new vehicle we have had periodic dead batteries from what should have been minor drain on it. For example, rear compartment dome light left on for an hour or so. I've replaced the battery twice and bought a portable battery jump device. The jumper battery works great, but shouldn't be necessary. A passenger window works intermittently, but otherwise this car with 106,000 miles has been great.

It’s a winner!

It’s been a great car with a couple of hiccups, but all in all I want in the car for seven years it’s been a year a nice car to maintain and to drive. My only complaint is I’ve always had trouble with the radio for some reason it has its own mind and does things when just it’s out of the blue so I brought it in a couple of times, but never really got any resolution.

2016 Subaru Outback

'we love our new subaru. It the greatest car there is. It feels so safe while we are driving it. and the visability is great. It rides smooth and no road noise, great on gas and just plain comfortable. We just love it.

2016 Subaru Outback beats all others for us.

This is our second Subaru in 19 years. We tried a Hyundai Santa Fe in 2012 and we did not like the mpg. So, we traded it in for the 2016 Outback and are enjoying it very much. It is so comfortable and handles so well. Too many compliments to list!!!

We traded in our 2015 Forester for the 2016 Outback

In 2015 we bought a Subaru Forester. I never really liked the car. I wasn't sure why, except that the drivers seat was not comfortable, and it hurt my back. So, we traded it in f\or a 2016 Outback. Wow! It's like going from a Chevy to a Cadillac. They have really improved the 2016 Outback. The seat raises higher, the Bluetooth works better, there re vents in the back for heat and a/c, it's comfortable, quiet, the doors are wider, and the electronics are great. We love it.

Purchase of new Subaru Outback

We are very happy with our new Outback. The quality of the vehicle including the safe features are amazing. We purchased the Eyesite protection package, and feel that if will help us to drive safer, and give us a break on our auto insurance.
