Dependable and affordable with 5k oil change intervals and vehicle service as recommended in owners manual, such as timing belt at 60k, routine spark plugs and wires, belts and hoses, as well as any wear items.

Reliability

I love the reliability. 254000 miles and no major problems. Keeping up on maintenance has helped. I've been told the next year's model used cheaper parts so doesn't wear as well, but 1997 was a great year for camry's

Toyota Camry

I bought this car new in 1997, I have never had any trouble with it. I love my car. I know she is getting old, just like me, and I will have to buy a new Camry at some point. I for sure buy a Toyota Camry and from Parker Toyota.

The 1997 Camry was a good year for Toyota

With over 307 thousand miles, my '97 Camry has been the the best car I have had, so far. It is still out preforming my 2013 Honda. Toyota should build all their cars with the same expertise as they put into the 1997 model.

Safe car

My car is older but with proper matenenc I expect her to go another 100,000. It gets me to work and back everyday. We live on a very ural road and my Camry takes it like a 4 well drive. Go Camry. Blah blah blah blah blah

Lovely example of Toyota performance. 97 Camry!

This car has been amazing. Over 21 years old and in great condition. Not a drop of oil leaking and still getting over 21 MPG on my short-run driving in town. Do I lust after a new car? Admittedly it would be nice but I can't find any reason to trade this car in. It allows me to spend my extra cash on travel and not on a car payment!!

We have loved our 1997 Camry

We have loved our 1997 Camry for 20 years and about 180,000 miles. It still drives very well and is comfortable. TO Toyota has been our service provider for the entire time. They have provided great service for all that time.

Good for a car

I have a 97 Camry that was given to me. I am used to SUVS so this has been quite the change. It's very short (even compared to other cars) but gets good gas mileage and can run far longer on one engine than many cars. Did have two oil leaks which I guess is common for them (crank shaft seal leak and cam shafts seal leak). Not much power but gets along.

My dependable '97 Camry

This car has been a joy to own. Entirely reliable, it never gives me a worry when I start out on a trip. I look forward to purchasing a new car one day soon and when I do, I will pass my Camry along to one of the grandchildren, knowing it will provide the with more years of dependable service.
