Well built, very little upkeep, smooth driving and plenty of room with 7 people.

Only one day, but better than expected so far

Small screen for backup camera, need to read up on how to use some features , first vehicle of this stature that don't appear to have trip computer?? Snow and ice don't even exist with this ride! Feels like we are in control , instead of the elements. We have a 1997 Ford explorer( Eddie Bauer) 4x4 but it takes a back seat to this Highlander! Love the quiet !

2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Almost perfect vehicle for a small family! Plenty of leg and shoulder room for a small overall vehicle length. Fuel mileage in the 27-29 mpg range regardless of mix of highway and stop-go traffic.

Hybrid Love

I really love my Highlander Hybrid. I'm getting on average 26 miles to the gallon, which is almost 10 miles per gallon more than another SUV of similar size. The mpg goes down when full, but is still around 20. Cup-holders and and 12v plug-ins all over the car. The three zone A/C is great, and allows me to just have one zone working if I'm driving alone.

2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Vehicle has optional video entertainment system incorporated into front-seat headrests, and captain's chairs for second row seating. Entertainment system is perfect for children on long boring drives through non-picturesque scenery. Even though there is plenty of room for four full-sized adults, and supporting luggage, the vehicle's overall length and turn radius equals that of a mid-sized sedan.

2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

The vehicle has totally sold me on the hybrid layout. Anyone who reads Consumer Report will tell you that it consistently is rated at the top of its category (Midsized 3-row SUVs). Its competitors include the Honda Pilot, the Hyundai Santa Fe, the Kia Sorento, the Nissan Pathfinder, and the Ford Explorer.
