Just an OK SUV

The only reason we purchased the Highlander over the Honda Pilot, Passport, Mazda CX-9, or the Suburu Ascent was that it was a hybrid car. We took this car on an extended road trip. It handled OK, but the navigation was very primitive, it was unable to direct us to many places AND the navigation cannot recalculate new directions when we miss a turn off or change our destination. The interior console is also a hassle to use. The console is awkward to use and getting to the charging ports is difficult. I was also disappointed that the Limited trim model only came with captain seats for the second row. We really need the second row bench seats and we also really wanted the extra features (like air conditioned front seats), but we had to give up the better features to have the second row bench seats. I do appreciate that the Toyota Highlander is very reliable and we really liked Michaels Toyota of Bellevue because they gave us an additional warranty year.

Recall in progress?

Received recall report on our 2019 Highlander with apparently no fix in place. At this time can’t decide if we should get a rental car which you would provide. Thank you. Any information on when this fix will be available?

Tires and rims

Only 20,000 mies and paint is coming off of rims and the tires are bald already! After i sent $41,000 on this vehicle you would think they would put some better rims and tires. I have owned 6 Toyota's and never had these problems before!

2019 Highlander LTD

Beautiful SUV. Very comfortable ride and smooth driving on the roads. On negative is I think it is unpowered when passing gear is needed. Slow response to accelerator. We synthetic leather seats were a disappointment. I have been used to real leather the last 30 years on other makes.

Love it! Surprised at great fuel economy

Nice ride and comfortable. Fuel economy surprised me. It’s great! Only wish the passengers door on drivers side had keyless entry like front door on passenger side of car. Was spoiled by my Lexus. Would buy another!

Love my Highlander!

Comfortable, nice size and gets great fuel economy compared to other like makes/models. Purchased for my retirement car. Third seat is nice for tiny tots. Wish more options available in the SE model. Great overall vehicle!

Not perfect, but still really like this vehicle.

Deal with back/hip issues and the seats would be more comfortable if soft/plush. Don't love that I cannot open the passenger side doors from the driver's door without using the key fob. This is a basic feature in most vehicles these days, so the only options are 1) opens driver door only, 2) open all doors, which could be a safety issue, or 3) use the key fob. What's the point of keyless entry if you have to use the key fob? These are nothing major just the little things that could help set it apart.

My first Highlander

I have been a Ford Expedition owner for the last 30 years. Loved my King Ranch. Ford discontinued that model and replaced it with platinum one. The 2018/19 didn’t measure up to all the features I had on my 2011. I trade up to a new one at 75,000 miles. The new ones run about $75,000 out the door. The MSRP on my 2019 Highlander was 51,000. It was my kind of car after the first 10 minutes driving it! Way better gas mileage, and lots of bling to make you more than comfortable. Very easy to drive on the highway. T

2019 Highlander SE

The vehicle is exceptional and has all the bells and whistles you can imagine. Easy to drive, easy to learn all the gadgets, and fun to drive. By comparison to the XLE, the SE has more style and flair, and will rival any SUV out there for comfort and performance. I drive to lunch with friends the other day.. Everyone loved the car, especially the interior.

2019 Toyota Highlander SE V6

Extremely stylish black leather interior with red stitching . The electronics are very impressive and has about every safety feature you could imagine. The Highlander has 10 airbags and that was very important to me because my 2013 was totaled and that car saved my life . The exterior color is red and really shines.

Excellent automobile

So far we have only driven it home from the dealership, however, having previously owned a Highlander and for the past three years leased a Highlander we know we will thoroughly enjoy the 2019 Highlander leased Jan. 4, 2019.

great vehicle

I believe this SUV is fantastic.It is roomy, drives great, looks very stylish. I like the fact that it is all wheel drive and a 4 X 4. It has plenty of power. I like the fact that it has a lot of safety features, is well built and that the price is reasonable. I would recommend this SUV to friends and family who are in the market for an SUV.

Tough but comfortable

We’ve gone from a Prius to a RAV 4 to a Highlander. Each has its advantages. The Highlander has trademark Toyota quality and dependability while offering a quiet, smooth and comfortable ride. In addition, we purchased our Highlander to tow our travel trailer while having the capacity to carry 4-6 people. So, the Highlander combines the hauling capability of a pickup with the luxury of large SUV.

Lovin It!

Lovin It! Really glad I bought the "nightshade" option so mystical!! I would recommend this car to any of my family and friends. We have had several Toyota's but this is our first SUV and we are very happy with it.
