Luxury ride

Went to Parker Toyota for an oil change on my 4Runner and bought a new Hilander with all the bells and whistles. This a luxury vehicle that has a quiet and smooth ride. It is a low step in for the vehicle with easy access to both the second and third rows. I especially like that there is a separate ventilation system for the second and third row area that includes ceiling vents. We took a long road trip. I folded down the second and third row seats, stuffed a pillow between the captain’s chairs in the second row and moved the dog bed up behind the first row. Kept the back area cool and vents blowing on the dog while we adjust the front row seat area to 70. This is my first push button start car and that is just the beginning of the dashboard features available. Have your sales person go through the dash set up the first time and the rest will be easy as you start to drive. One piece of information that was difficult to find in the manual was how to turn off automatic braking system when you are using the tow hitch and are backing up. The car manual is like the computer, you have to ask the right question and know where to look in the book to find your answer. For the most part I just let the car do its thing. Cruise control is at a whole new level. You still have to be the driver but the car keeps you in the lane and slows you down when approaching another car. Cruise control, smooth quiet ride, and the giant moon roof made a road trip of 4000 miles a lot easier and enjoyable. The mileage for this all gas powered vehicle with a hitch and two bikes was better than expected and much better than our beloved 4Runner. The terrain included many high mountain passes, windy weather and snow and ice covered roads and with new 20 inch wheels I had no issues.

Just bought it but let me tell you why.

It is not a hybrid.I’m just not ready yet. No infrastructure in my small town and no power in my parking spot. I bought what I knew. I had a Toyota 4Runner that I traded in after 106,000 trouble free miles. I am hoping for the same with this car. Quiet, powerful nice driving luxury vehicle with a beautiful fit and finish. I am going to put a reliability of 10 but that is whatI am hoping. They asked for a review just after purchase.
