Wish I bought another car

I upgraded to a Prius 4 and really regret getting a Prius. (I have had 2 Priuses in the past.) The Soft Tek upholstery is awful! It stains from sunscreen and hand lotion and it won't come off! I absolutely hate the pre-collision system. You can turn it off but it NEVER disengages if you're using cruise control. Also, with new Prius, gas mileage goes way down when using heater and/or defroster.

Prius ia a great car

Like the Prius. This is my third Prius. They could have done a better job with the sun visors - I'm short and the seat is pretty far up and the sun visor still doesn't even begin to block the sun where I sit. About 8 months ago, I started having problems with Entune updates. Whenever there is an Entune update, my iPhone unpairs with the car. Not that big of a deal. But the update also wipes out all of my radio channels. This is a big deal because I have Sirius XM and I have 36 channels. Recently, I had 4 Entune updates within 7 days. I don't even bother reprogramming all 36 channels because I know I'll have to reprogram them again before long. I have been dealing with this issue for too long and Toyota cannot seem to figure out a solution. .

Disappointed but glad it gets 58 mpg in the city.

I love getting such great gas mileage! I don’t love that the front end is so low to the ground that I often scrape that bumper when I pull straight in to park. I also do not love that there is no trunk release on the key fab or inside the car and that I have to stretch very high to pull the trunk down to close it.

Love my 2016 Prius Liftback!

This car really fits my needs since I commute a long way to work everyday. The gas mileage is definitely saving me a lot in fuel costs. Also love the sleek design and fold-able backseats. My only wish is that the headlights were automatic. As it is, you have to remember to turn the lights on or off. But other than that, I am very happy with my purchase!

front seats

only complaint is low front seats with high sides so difficult entry and exit. ALL front seats should be power, not manual. Audio is a continual learning process which likes to go to sources I do not want.

2016 Pruis 4 Touring

I have a 2008 Prius and enjoyed it for 8 years so decided to get a new one. The old one had all the bells and whistles so I want the same on the new one. I like the looks of the new one and all its features only down side is that there is not as much storage space in it. The old one had two glove boxes that were easy to use, the new one only has one and it is low on the dash and hits your legs when opened. The old had a little draw on the console and one on the dash to store small things like phone chargers, the new has neither. The biggest disappointment is the storage under the back deck lid, the old was large enough for lots of things about 10" deep. The new one has only a couple small pockets, not big enough for even a small set of sockets. In trade off the area above lid is probably 30% larger than before and golf clubs fit easily now.

Mostly very good, but a few glaring defects.

There are many plusses: fabulous fuel economy, excellent handling, excellent brakes, tight steering, great safety features, very reliable, smart styling, etc. Regretfully, there are also a few (stupid) design defects: nearly useless, tiny sun visors that don't block sun glare, non-existent bumpers (leaving the cute body terribly vulnerable to damage), seats that are too low for drivers under 5'8", rear visibility obstructed by posts, the spoiler, and rear headrests, a terrible lack of storage space (especially for road tools), a rear hatch that opens so high that it hits our garage door and is very difficult to reach to close, an overly sharp headlight cutoff, an extremely and needlessly complex electronic display that is way too difficult to learn and mostly impossible to use while driving, and - stupidest of all - no way to switch the digital speedometer from MPH to KPH (a definite safety defect). Overall... A mostly delightful little car that I regretfully cannot recommend at this time with all these unfortunate defects.

Good city vehicle

Good vehicle for citt drive and great milage. Design and features are great. Wish to have more solid build. Some improvement can be done. Windshield glass quality is average as it get chipped easily compared to mt 2000 Avalon. Room for software improvement

2016 prius

I enjoy driving this car. It gets great mileage, typically better than 50 mpg in town and on the freeway. The on screen menu is more complicated than I need, but this is not a problem since I only use a few options. The GPS navigator is more difficult to use than Google Maps on my iPhone, so I just use the phone app for navigation.

A good little car

I like my 2016 Prius C. It is my first hybrid. I gave up an 88 Honda CRX for this car. Honda was starting to fall apart. I am please to be getting a little better fuel economy with my Prius. About 55 mpg in the winter and over 60 MPG in the warmer weather. It could use a Nav. system and more control for music using the USB port. And I have found the car does not calculate fuel millage very well (always high) Just little things that could be easily fixed if Toyota would take the time to do so. The small size and the turning radius are great. Along with the comfort and ease of driving. I like it very much and my get another new one in 2020.

Mostly very good to excellent, but with a few annoying "quirks."

We have the 2016 remodeled and redesigned Prius. While it really hits the mark in terms of fuel efficiency, reliability, and handling, it misses on some practical design elements. The good: Fantastic mileage (50+ MPG overall), great reliability, excellent routine and emergency handling, excellent headlights, comfortable front seating, great safety features and safety rating, and "easy on the eyes." The not-so-good: Poor storage space, especially up front and no place for tools. Terrible sun visors (nearly useless). Rear visibility partially obstructed. Very confusing and in some ways unusable instrument panel (e.g., no metric settings, extremely confusing/convoluted navigation that's almost impossible to use, cluttered with too much "useless" information, frequently self-resets, impossible to comprehend icons and symbols, very incomplete, but still huge, instruction manual), somewhat difficult to get in and out of, annoying Sirius satellite radio system that can't be eliminated (with never-ending mail advertisements), Also, no bumpers and low-slung design make it very vulnerable to dings and scratches. Hopefully, Toyota has addressed many/most of the issues in the newer versions.

This is a nice Car, the Prius

I like my Prius, its nice when you pull up to the Gas’s station and say fill it up and know that you will be getting a good 400 to 500 miles out of this tank of gas. It rides well and I just wish it was a we little bit bigger. But I will keep it for now.

Super mileage, very reliable, but quirky design and awkward instrumentation.

The 2016 redesigned Prius has mamy improvements and a few glaring disappointments. See below for details. Overall, we love the handling, reliability, and economy of this car. It is particularly good for around-town trips, but less so for road trips because of the limited space. Its worst disappointment is its poorly executed instrumentation, both in design and functionality.

2016 Prius

Couple of things that I really don't like about the 2016 Prius. One is the collision prevention. Most of my work commute is on the interstate and when you get 3 or 4 car lengths behind the car in front of you, your car starts slowing down. Second problem is the sun visors. They are way to short lengthwise and width. I've tried to find a solution online.

Wonderful car

I had not driven a hybrid car before, this was my first experience. I love my Prius, it is beautiful and fun to drive. It is very comfortable, the large windows give you excellent visibility and the LED lights make your car very visible and are superb at nights. It has lots of cargo space, the back seats can be put down in order to carry large items. The car is very quiet and efficient, it has a beautiful, two color interior. The sound system is great. I would recommend this car to any one who is looking for a handsome, efficient and economic car.

Love Everything About It

Although the sticker says the Prius gets 50-52 mpg I've been averaging anywhere from 54-57 mpg! I also love the Toyota safety sense package. It makes me feel safer.

I Love LouC

My 2016 Prius is named LouC (Lucy) and she is a lulu. Driving is fun all over again and it is so reassuring to have a car that is so much smarter then I am. She anticipates my every need and fulfills all of my expectations. What more could a girl want?
