Totally reliable, manuel transmission fun car to drive. Going strong with more than 165,000 miles on the odometer. I love it!

Just Keeps Going

I have owned my '98 Rav4 for about 3 years now and I can say that hands down it is the best car I have ever owned! Despite having nearly 200,000 miles on it and having largely factory stock original components, it keeps running and relatively well! The only real difference I have noticed is in gas mileage. While I am in the process of making multiple repairs and updating multiple components, I am thoroughly impressed with this car's durability. An added bonus is the high clearance, compact size and relatively low-set back door (great for moving! Especially moving tall objects). I have also been able to tow a reasonably large trailer across several states with no issue. I fully recommend!

Retro Rav

Toyota’s from the 90’s are really the best! I have 140,000 mi on my 98’ and it’s going strong. The body has some little rust spots but I do live in Hawaii, where everything rust quickly. I just love this little SUV.

Reliability

I have had a Rav4 for 20 years and have found it to be a reliable and dependable vehicle with very little repairs and maintenance. Have gotten great gas mileage Very comfortable ride that is very smooth.

My long time friend.

My RAV4L is 22 years old, just over 200k miles. It's not like the picture, it's a 4-door with moon roof. He's my buddy. Very dependable and comfortable, really fits my life. Strangers have asked me to sell, but I won't. The mechanics who help me maintain my black and silver Raven see it as a challenge.

Solid, reliable family vehicle. Would happily purchase one again.

This RAV4L was an excellent purchase when we bought it in 2001. It remains so today. Good power to weight ratio provides a zippy, responsive car with plenty of get up & go. Great handling, excellent suspension handles the bumps and bouncing through pot holes very easily. A lot roomier on the inside than you expect when just viewing from the outside.

Still running great at 135,000! Looks great inside and out! Easy to maneuver around town! Never broken down and I’ve taken it on some long trips! Spacious for groceries and lots of other things to transport.

Good little burro!

I've had this car nearly 25 years and still going strong at about 220k miles. Original mpg was 22/27. I get a little less in town, probably 18-29, but I get 27-30 on the highway. Starts a little rough, but after driving for a while you can hardly hear the engine. Body is rusting a bit, but still looks amazing. I'm very happy. I spend about $1800 for maintenance every year, much less than payments for a new car. Highly recommend a Toyota!
