Rav4 Review

A little too noisy for a limited edition. You would think it would be a quieter ride than it is. Otherwise not a bad car.

I have a 2011 Rav4,

I love my Rav4, but my only complaint would be that my seats are uncomfortable. I do not have the premium Rav4, but I have made 4 trips to California in my Rav and I always get such great gas mileage. I only spend around $100.00 going down to southern Cali. I get 25 mpg.

2011 Rav 4 (Base)

The vehicle runs like new and we haven't experienced any problems. I've noticed a low noise (drivetrain?) that I hear sometimes driving slow. Upon contacting Foothills, they said to bring it in. Also there is a small chip in the windshield which I'm sure was there when we purchased it, so I will bring that to their attention as well. So far we've only driven less that 200 miles, but other that the two small mentioned items, all seems well. Looking forward to seeing how it handles winter conditions. We already have a 2007 Subaru Forester which is excellent in winter conditions. We hope and expect the Rav 4 to perform as well.

Rav4 is a great car!

I looked at the Nissan and Honda as well as Toyota before I purchased this car. I really like the way the back window is so wide that it is easy to see out the back of the car. I don't have a backup camera on this car. I purchased a bare-bones model because I didn't want more to go wrong than necessary. The seats are high enough so you can see around the car using the mirrors. I do not like is that dealers have their own after-market alarm system installation. This means that if you move and something happens (chip failure in my case), then you either have to go back to the dealer that sold you the car or install a new alarm system. I had to choose the latter and the new system had to be installed with the first system still in place due to the way it was initially installed. I also do not like that the original alarm system was part of car key. It makes it difficult to avoid the alarm buttons when turning the key. Another detractor on this car is the low pressure indicator light that goes on every 6 months or so. It is usually for the spare tire. I have a 4 cylinder that is ok for pick up but don't count on it for freeway driving. I have had the car for almost 5 years and I would buy one again with different choices concerning aftermarket sales.

Duck

The vehicle drives very well. In fact I love it! Only negative ocurance is it is taking way too long to repair the 2 recalls I have pending. Not the dealership fault of course. But it needs to be taken care of in a timely manner !!

Good Car for the Money

This is a really great car. Only 2 recent recalls, but nothing major. The only draw back is that the ignition with the key is hard to turn over. I did get the basic model vs. upgraded model. Other than that, I would definitely get another one.

Great All Purpose Car

This car has been exactly what I needed. I needed a car that got good gas mileage for my work commute. I also needed something with four wheel drive in the winter and to go over the mountain passes. With the back seats folded down I have a lot of room for cargo or to haul my dog around. I can also pull a small trailer. My only wish would be that the front seats were a little more comfortable. Otherwise a great all purpose reliable vehicle.

I love my RAV 4!

I like how I can get in and out of my RAV 4 without "tweaking" my hip - the large window view around me - being up a little higher than regular vehicles. I have confidence in dealing with my Toyota Dealership!

2011 Rav 4

Love the vehicle. I have three items that could be improved. 1. There is a lot of road noise inside the vehicle while driving 2. The ride is stiff, especially over a bumpy road 3. It is difficult to adjust the steering wheel. I drive a lot and like to change the angle, etc. when traveling long distances. This you must undo and redo rather than just adjust.

Great car

I absolutely love my Rav. My mom and sister both have one too! Plenty of leg room and cargo room. The seats are simple to put down flat. Great off road believe it or not. The roof racks work great with my kayak racks too!

Irie liable and safe car

I have faith that this car will start for me it will maneuver well on the freeway it is seen by other people because the design is such that it creates a presence of itself I don't get cut off in this car and I have the best possible chance of it running 4 10 years ahead just by maintaining regular maintenance schedule I am thankful Toyota build your cars to last

I give this a four-star because the car is awesome but there is a lot of road noise. That is the only thing about the RAV4 that I dislike. It does ride great it's an awesome car. I may buy a new one in the future if they get rid of the road noise

2011 RAV4

The Limited 6 cyl is what we purchased. I thought it would be quieter than other versions howeve there has been a drive train whine since new and the car is a bit noisy overall. The new ones are quieter. Other than that the car is incredibly reliable and the v6 is VERY fast.
