Love my Golf.

Someone in town said I was driving a "teenagers car." It is at 220k miles. Hope to have it for another 200k+ miles. Easy to handle. Great mileage. I hope when we replace it there is a reliable EV!!

98% Perfect

Bold, clean, timeless style without tons of chrome or useless body creases. Good handling and fun to drive. Like most VWs, they made 98% of a perfect car. The things they got wrong they REALLY got wrong. Glovebox and armrest are two sore spots as they will 100% fail and break. MAF will fail early. Manual trans is a bit notchy and weak. Interior is on par with comparable vehicles. Build quality is far superior to Japanese and American cars. Seam welds, not spot. Cast door parts, not stamped. Small details make the car stand out among its competitors. Excellent value for the money if you don’t mind a little price premium on repairs to refresh the car.

245000 miles....you tell me

This car is rock solid. With just the recommended care, I've gotten 245000 miles. A few items have failed which cost some big bucks (assy bracket failed because the clutch in the alternator failed) but overall the car is great. Its easy to mod and the TDI market has A TON of upgrades to make the car fast and loud. 42-51 mpg.

Great car , very reliable. 2000 Golf 155,000 I'm Roy Rogers and my Golf is Trigger. I'll never put to sleep [euthanize] it.
