2010 VW GTI four door

The four door version of VW GTI I has been a great car to fit my friends and family in and all my sports equipment can fit in the hatch. This car is pretty quick for the size motor and being completely stock. Overall it gets everything I need done and it's relatively inexpensive for all the nice options.

Won't want to give it up . . .

I regret that VW (and others) decided to discontinue the three door hatch. The larger doors and entry suit a person of my age and size better that a 5 door hatch. I may have to reluctantly consider a SUV when new time car rolls around again. I appreciate the better than average acceleration, braking, handling, gas mileage and available room in my GTI. I may decide to keep it longer than I normally would because I see fewer vehicles available that are equal to or improve upon what I currently drive.

Amazing Car!!

I bought a GTI in mid 2011 with 13k miles on it, here i am in 2019 with 200k miles on it and still running like a champ. I strongly believe if you keep up with the routine maintenance any car should last long time without any hassle. There were very few things that had went out and replaced with my car. The first thing went bad was the clutch at 70k miles, i was little surprised just because of the low miles at the time. Secondly, the turbo went out around 150k miles. I took a bite and replaced it with APR KO4 turbo which will put a big smile on your face it's awesome. Once the KO4 turbo had been installed i had to replace few more parts intake manifold, water pump, throttle body very minor things which were supposed to go out a while back according to some people. I recently did some major maintenance on the car at 200k timing chain, serpentine belt, rear main seal, and camcover reseal. Apparently these cars are notorious with jumping time due to failed tensioner, i was lucky enough to never had this issue and at 200k finally redid the timing chain. The car runs amazing with the recent maintenance done hoping it will last me for another 100k miles.
