My 2.5 liter VW Jetta 2009

This is simply the best car I’ve ever owned! Reliable, high-performance, comfortable, and attractive styling! Handles great and with its 5-cylinder Audi engine it’s super-smooth and very zippy as well as nimble! What’s not to like?!?

VW Jetta 2019

I like this car, but it does require periodic fixes. VW builds a pretty car but certain parts do not have a decent lifetime. I am still a fan of this vehicle. I'll drive it for years if parts and engine survive.

'09 VW Jetta review

I have a Wolfsburg which I believe makes the Jetta even better then a non-Wolfsburg Jetta. So with that said I just love my Wolfsburg and just love taking it out whenever and enjoy cruising wherever it takes me! When I drive a loaner Jetta which is not a Wolfsburg I do not like its overall feel or look. It feels clunky and cheap not like my Wolfsburg. Just an average car nothing special. But my Wolfsburg, now THAT is a great car

Love the jetta

This car is Comfortable and roomy to drive on long trips, yet easy to maneuver through traffic around town. Love the manual transmission. I’ve never had a car with such a large trunk space, I really like the sunroof also. Good gasoline mileage

Little issues after emissions fix

I’ve had a lot of issues since the fix, including harder to start, hesitation during consistent speeds, even on cruise control. Turbo actuator needed replacing. Reverse lights, plate lights, marker lights and trunk latch release all stopped working at the same time before the fix. Just been driving with the issues. Engine reliability is great, which is very important as I put approximately 45,000 miles a year on my car driving back and fourth to work. Resale of the car is out of the question because it’s worth less than I owe on it. I’ll drive it until it finally gives up. Over 200,000 miles and still going.

wonderful car but expensive maintenance in the long term.

Jetta TDI is a magnificent machine, easy & fun to drive. VW COULD go with a timing chain system instead of making the customer pay up to $1,700 orso for a new timing belt and concurrent wheels, bearings, and water pump. The mileage savings somewhat offset the high maintenance aspect; however an American car, with a timing chain and USA parts would actually cost less to maintain even with half the mileage. However, the Jetta is comfortable, a fine drive, and will last a long time, if maintained properly.

VW Jetta sport wagon

At one point I loved my VW. Lately with the settlement program, there's been just to many disapointing delays. It's pushing me away from future VW purchases.

Great car when it runs.

I love my Jetta. Many have tried to buy but 2009 was Jettas last good year so I'm hanging on to it.
