Nearly 230,000 miles & going strong

I love love love this car! Bought it used with less than 8000 miles on it at a Cadillac dealer. @289,000+ miles the transmission began to show signs that it was probably going to give it up. The engine was still running strong, no oil leaks, no smoke at the exhaust, oil pressure still good. Found a reliable shop to replace the tranny with a used one with a 3 year guarantee. $2300 total, tranny installed, including the cost of the tranny.. The car is still running strong. I'll drive it till the wheels fall off. A lot less $$$ than buying even a good used car, that I really don't know what condition it is in. I do all my oil & filter changes myself @ about 3000 - 4000 miles. I have the 3.6 V6 engine, the car is very comfortable, handles like a sportscar should, and the power of the V6 engine; what's not to like!?

Passat

This is a great car overall. It's comfortable to drive, makes me feel safe even though I am driving a car not a truck, and it's long lasting. But my favorite feature is the mileage and engine, the four cylinder and 2.0 Turbo engine combination is perfect! Whoever said you can't be fast and save gas was wrong, the Passat by Volkswagen does both.

Good car to drive

My Passat is comfortable, easy to handle, good on gas mileage and an overall pleasure to drive.
