I love my car except the fact this thing take premium gas & it doesn't have all the toys like the inside monitor, the bike rack, nor trailer hitch... It's almost paid off but I be getting a vehicle that takes unleaded gas ASAP

A GTI on stilts

I had driven a series of Golfs and truly loved the cars. The last one was a rare 1.8T. Essentially a GTI drive train in a registered Golf. I cant speak for a regular Tiguan but the R Line met and exceeded the 1.8t performance in many respects. The R Line has a "tuned" suspension that allows for high speed cornering. Sometimes I'll just do a few cloverleafs just to feel the G-Forces. GREAT acceleration and all the bells and whistles you would expect (and some surprises) from a top of the line trim pacjkage

BEST MiniSUV out there!!!

The Volkswagen Tiguan is truly an amazing car in lots of ways. It has lots of ports for charging phones through the cigarette lighters, drives really smooth, reflects a curved exterior body shape so the wind hits your face right, a trunk that has a special cover for hiding extra personal belonging underneath, lots of space for the passengers in the back, and overall is just really great!!

Love my Luke!

This is the first vehicle where I actually got what I wanted. I claimed this vehicle in 2014 when Volkswagen in Dearborn had it sitting out, 2018 the Lord blessed me to get what I wanted & then He made a way for me to refinance my Luke & go from paying $396.14 to $257.04 power month!!! My God is better good!!!!

Knew I'd miss my GTI.

The Tiguan is an elegant little SUV. If I hadn't spent the last 4 years in a GTI I would call it sporty and a high performance car. There are no flaws or defects in this car, it does exactly what it is advertised to do, and does it worth some style, some class. But once you've been low to the ground with paddle shifters, it just doesn't feel right to step DOWN when you get out of the car. It is roomy and the huge panoramic sunroof is great. But I had that in the GTI too. One thing I miss and have a hard time adjusting to is the 24 mpg on premium this car gets no matter what I do. I could squeeze 36 from my GTI even at highway speed, and over 40 on 55mph roads, and that justified the premium fuel cost. But 24 at a premium is hard to get used to. I get about the same miles per tank, and gas prices took a tumble just when I picked up the Tiguan, but it is still not a good number in todays environment. The Tiguan is great, my next car might be a GTI or a CC though.

luxurious utility

I leased my Tiguan after having 2 GTI's, so I was apprehensive about the drastic change of style. Now I step up to get in, and down to get out instead of the other way around. But my other concerns have slowly evaporated, the Tiguan is fast enough, handles more like a sports car than I would have believed, while holding the road is very smooth, quiet and effortless. It took a while to get used to ignoring every shift and rev which is one of the attractions of the GTI's, now it all happens in silence and It really is beyond effortless. With all the options, I have superb sound so I can feel every bass note and drum beat (I'm an old rhythm section guy) in crystal clear Fender sound, just like in a studio. I usually trade in about 2 years, but this may be a longer one, unless I need to have a CC Exec or Golf R before lease end. Choices, choices. No hurry, the Tiguan is like my favorite leather LazyBoy, don't want to get up but can't wait to go somewhere. Anywhere.
