I alway buy new so that I know the car history.

This car is a work hog. It’s will withstand a heavy load like a truck, but handle the every day comfort and driving of a family car. It is a great SUV and investment that last the time. I bought the vehicle new in 2006 and now in 2024 it still looks and runs great. I have no interest in trading it for a new car. I will drive it until it give up on me.

2005 VW Touareg

I have always loved the look of this SUV. It reminds my of a Porsche Cayenne. But, repairs are costly, just like the Porsche. Four new tires can cost you $800+. Brakes and pads are all "special order". Even the oil I put in every 3000 miles has to be Premium, and cost more then usual. Things like the window paparazzi screens, plastic cigarette lighter cover in the back seat, break off of crack. All the seat belts in the back are all either completely broke or, in disrepair.

Great Car Long Term Value

I have owned over 60(most as a collector) cars in my life. The Touareg is perhaps the best automobile I have ever owned. Even for its size and weight it is quick and agile. The comfort factor is in the luxury car class and the quality unmatched by even the most expensive SUVs. The fact that it is a Porsche with and Audi engine tells you all you need to know. Quality, performance, reliability, capability.
