General reliability

The Volvo S-70 is safe and dependable. Every dial is in easy reach. This car is very durable and roomy.. It is a pleasure to drive and looks great on the road.

Love my Volvo

I am absolutely in love with my car, as it is dependable, super safe, and still going strong! I love the trunk space, and my dogs love the interior! The car interior is very comfortable and has held up remarkably well, would certainly buy another one.

VOLVO--THE FAMILY CAR

Volvo's were the 2nd family car since 1966. My parents started with the 122, followed by the 1967 redesigned 144. I now own the family 1986 740 GLE and the '98 S70 pictured. I have not had a problem with either of them and recently drove the S70 cross country from Albany, NY to San Jose CA. The trip was 3,262 miles. I had complete confidence that as a 19 year old car, it would make it without a problem (I encountered a couple in Wyoming with a '99 station wagon who were traveling from Massachusetts to Oregon).

My Third Volvo

Volvos are the best cars, in my opinion. This is the third one I’ve owned (they last so long, they don’t need to be replaced as often as some other makes). When my husband bought this car for me in 1998 as a wedding present, I knew then that it would be the last car I’d ever need and it’s still going strong. I love that it’s considered one of the safest cars on the road. The built-in roll bars add to my sense of security.

1998 Volvo S70 and 1998 Volvo S90

In December 2000, we bought these two cars coming off of 3-year leases. One in LV, one in Carlsbad. They were "twins" that took a close look to tell apart. We have loved them: safe, reliable, good-looking, and 3-4 Volvo mechanics have told us through the years that these "boxy look" Volvos were the last of the good ones that were reliable and easy to work on. In our 80's now, we've cut back to one car. Sold the S90 with 190,000 miles on it, and the S70 is over 160,000. We may still go for the factory delivery package in Sweden when we're ready to go for a new one. But for now, this one has been garaged for15+ years and is still doing great.

As my fourth Volvo and third with this Engine-love it

I get great gas mileage without having to think about it. The Volvo 850 is a similar car with the same engine. The first 850 was brand new and we out 300 miles on that car with just regular periodic maintenance. This S70 is a similar car, with many modernized improvements that add pleasure to owning and driving the car. Love the 5-cylinder engine and transmission which has plenty of power and economy.The 850 and S70 are the most enjoyable car I’ve ever owned.

98 Volvo great car.... just like most older Volvo's they do have some electrical problems, but what car that is 22 years old doesn't !

I have owned this car for about a year and a half it has been a good car for what I payed for it. That being said there have been many things that the previous owner did not disclose from the purchase of the car...it does drive great!
