2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime

Extremely happy with this car. The main drawback/reason for concern is the high voltage cable that runs along the underside of the car and is a WELL KNOWN issue in that the connector at the end is highly likely to develop corrosion. When that happens the car is dead and you will need to have it towed to a dealership. At first they were only covering this repair under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty (when MINE failed) but after a class action suit in Canada they now cover the repair under the 8 year/100,000 mile hybrid warranty (where it belonged since this is part of the hybrid system).

Versital car

My car is a 2001 SE. I like that I can get in-town errands done on electricity only, and I don't have to stop to re-charge on trips. Car is very quiet when running on electricity, a little noisy when the juice runs out. I has good visibility, and l like all the safety sense features. My only significant gripe, and it is a BIG ONE, is that the car did not come with an intrusion alarm system. This isn't Japan--Toyota should not import ANY CAR WITHOUT AN INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM.

Great for off road

This car is great for off road good clearance and excellent torque with the hybrid. Cons are poor vehicle control on highway on a windy day. Poor heater it take 30 mins to warm up on a cold NH day. Door chimes are too long and loud with no option to control them.
