Big Mistake
I had a Toyota Celica for 20+ years and it was a wonderful, dependable vehicle. Decided I wanted an SUV, so I purchased the RAV4. Totally regret the purchase. One of the worst design flaws is the mounting on the sides of the vehicle; vision is severely obstructed. The backup camera is located right by the button to open the cargo area, so I'm frequently adjusting the camera as it gets bumped inadvertently. There is no seal on the cargo area door, so leaves and twigs and other debris gets into the frame and then every time I open the door, everything that has accumulated lands in the cargo area. The dash lights dim when you go from daylight to a darker area, like under a bridge, which makes no sense at all. There is a large area by the windshield wipers that is recessed and all sorts of debris accumulates there too. I hope in subsequent years the design improved, but I'd never get a RAV4 again.
